The first chapter with smut made me seriously question the ethics of continuing to read yaoi bc it was very much torture porn and fetishizing gay sex—from the body proportions to the sex itself. I thought this would be a psychological thriller with two red flags that matched each others freak similar to Red Mansion, but it’s not that at all, the MC is not a psycho, he’s just a torture victim.

Having said that, I kept reading bc I wanted to see if really was going to be only torture porn or if there would be plot at some point bc I was hoping to be proven wrong. I skipped the smut, but it does seem like things have calmed down some and it’s becoming an actual story, less torture porn. I really just don’t know anymore, and I think I just need to give up and drop it at this point, but I’m curious about what’s going to happen to the poor MC—but it’s more like I’m hate reading bc I’m just skipping through it and ignoring the smut.

I’ll say that I don’t hate it as much as Prostate Capture or the Bad Life only bc at least the ML isn’t trying to pimp out the MC for gang R. At least he wants to be the only one who gets to torture him lol, that’s where the bar is these days.

This is going to be controversial but, although this by FAR my favorite omegaverse couple, I’m really disappointed in the plot. I was initially excited that the pregnancy was a big plot point, but I didn’t think it would be the only one. I thought there was going to be a revolution and a lot more intrigue like in King’s Maker, but all that gets left by the wayside. The ending feels rushed.
This happened in Blood Link too. There was so much interesting world building only for it to turn into a slice of life story, complete with the vampire worried about getting fat.
Listen, I love character driven stories as much as the next person, but then start the story with that expectation instead of making it seem like this was gonna be more Game of Thrones-ish. It’s disappointing. There needs to be a balance between plot and character development and I feel like this story needs 30-40 more chapters to hit that balance.
I still give it 4 stars bc this couple is THE BEST. Just wish the plot was better.

Guys yes the childhood friend is bad, but the professor is a million times worse. Dude has been stalking this kid, he’s the one behind the pills and encouraging his paranoia and to lose his memory. I don’t like the friend either, but at least he did all that bc he actually cares about MC (in an obsessive twisted way sure, but he loves him), who knows wtf that shady professor wants with him.

I actually think the professor’s beef is really with Jiheon and this is all to get back at him. Why you ask? When he first was introduced he had pictures on his phone of Wooju and Jiheon together but he was zooming in on Jiheon’s face, and he also knows his mom. Somehow I think it’s all connected to his mom. Or it’s connected to the kidnapping and his congressman father was actually behind it all.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Wooju is way too naive and gullible? Why is he trusting the professor when he knows the professor wants to sleep with him? Staying at his house for days instead of just going to his parents? Like why are trusting the professor and taking even more pills he gives you? I’m sorry but he’s being a stupid dumbass who has all the pieces in front of him yet still can’t connect them.

Also, I would like author to clarify whether chapter 30 was R or not, bc the MC acted like the only thing he was really mad about was the knotting not the sex itself, therefore it become confusing. Everyone (including me) started to hate Jiheon bc of that, but if it wasn’t R then it’s the author’s fault for not clarifying whether it was just angry sex or actual R.

I dropped it after the MC leaves bc I don’t want to see him get back together with the boss, then came back hoping for a main couple side story, only to find that this cursed side story IS STILL ONGOING. Damnit just end this bs already I’m SO over the boss.

These manhwas need to STOP normalizing and romanticizing rape. The MC falling for his rapist trope is disgusting, sick, and insulting to victims everywhere. Stop this. It’s basically just gang rape porn at this point. I don’t care how many trigger warnings this story has, it simply should not exist, let alone be categorized as boys love.

Im so tired of these “BL” (bc really there is no love here, this isn’t love) that romanticize and normalize rape. It doesn’t matter if there are trigger warnings, sick stuff like this shouldn’t exist or at the very least should have its own category of rape hentai bc this is NOT boys love.

I get that Raymond brushes things off and is strong, and that’s why people can still read this, but let’s be honest—that’s NOT a normal reaction for the shit he goes through. It’s just not realistic in any kind of way for R victims. The dude never even goes to therapy yet he brushes shit off so easily, it’s just not realistic in any kind of way. This dude would have died from hemorrhaging out his A in actuality after all the gang R. I’ve seen people negatively compare Ike’s from other messed up manhwas like No Reason—but the uke’s reaction is more realistic tbh. And implying that Raymond is a better MC bc he is strong makes it seem like people who actually feel the effects of rape and act like it, are weak. Just the wrong message to send all around.

This has got to be one of the most underrated psychological BLs. Just bc it’s not smut people really overlook this masterpiece
