you know what hurts the most though? idk remember where exactly but jinhyeong talks about his relationship with songrik in the sense that they got “too close, had no boundaries” implying that he thinks this was somewhat their fault. that maybe, if they hadn’t shared so much they wouldn’t know how to hurt each other as much. but to me it wasn’t the fact that they got this close that did this to them, it was all the other things beside them. bonds like theirs can survive, they were each other’s rock, their person who else were they supposed to lean on. but they didn’t necessarily sugarcoat their problems and opinions, it wasn’t the blind leading the blind, songrik recommended jinhyeong speak to his mother once showing early on that they could think about all this in a broader way and in other occasions. and i just know that they would’ve gotten better at communicating by time, they were still teenagers after all. if they aren’t speaking at all rn it’s probably because of this idea, that this fallout happened because they got too close and that thought crushes my heart. (although i do have the hope that they at least check on each other every once in a while or of a possible reunion)

oh songrik my everything, i cannot begin to describe how awful i feel rn. this has always been based on class differences and it’s crazy how some people can utter things like “yea his father beat him up and i feel bad for him BUT-” or “yea he’s poor BUT that doesn’t mean he-”. songrik is a highschooler living in poverty, working to support himself, who’s been abused physically and psychologically all his life with no adult figure to lead him except for his mother who has also left the household when he was little. no matter what he does in life and how successful he may become elitist people like jinhyeong’s father will never accept him in their family like jinhyeong dreamed of. which was such a pure and raw dream from him (his desire to be accepted by his father and still be with songrik) but one that would never come true and songrik is well aware of this fact (he’s being reminded of it every time he puts on his helmet doing deliveries or stepping inside his classroom not being able to openly speak to jinhyeong). sitting at the same dinner table aside, that man wouldn’t even want to exist in the same space as songrik and those like him, from a lower class. so no, songrik was right when he said that jinhyeong would never be able to understand these struggles as a privileged person in this sense as long as he didn’t let go of the high ground he put his father at. but we also know why that was close to impossible for jinhyeong to do at that point in his life especially after the last few months, what songrik did was horrible and such a low blow still, i believe that pointing fingers at one of them saying “he is wrong” isn’t sensible. and i feel like jinhyeong is songrik’s final lifeline and this is my first time thinking about this as im writing but i hope he didn’t try anything after this and is ok right now. because otherwise i certainly won’t be ok
ughh i don’t want to read this im too attached to songrik now and ik everything is gonna go downhill from here on. his relationship whit his mother, jinhyeong and the act of being abandoned (despite the reasons) i cannot believe how the author managed to establish his character so well in so few chapters. but pleasee they are familyyyy please dear author bring my family back together. and truthfully if this were any other series i’d say the chance if them meeting again, properly resolving things, even starting over healthily was very slim but with the way one room ta is written and handled i think it might happen. this is seriously one of the best written series i’ve come across here, i love everything about it.
