MC is staying with him because 1) he likes him 2) he was threatened and he knows ML is batshit crazy and would definitely off himself 3) he likely feels guilty from the past which is why he feels tied to him hence the whole bird cage analogy.
All I’m hoping is we get more insight on ML’s mental health. I’m assuming the head injury plays a big part into why he’s so batshit crazy. I can’t excuse what he’s done, but at the same time I don’t exactly feel terrible for the MC. Both are shitty people. Either way I do agree I hope the author starts releasing longer chapters.
