it’s not meant to “excuse his actions” it’s meant to show you how sometimes, even when you go through the same shit, you can still repeat it. the best cases are that someone who’s been abused, doesn’t want to do that to anyone else, but sometimes, you have cases like this. cases where they get put into a situation that rewards violent behavior, and they end up repeating the cycle trying to be “better” but they don’t even realize they are doing the same shit. then they realize it, and finally decides to be better, THAT is what the author is painting. not excuses, but real life, the parts that are shitty and people wouldn’t want to accept.

i read this a looong time ago but i couldn’t finish it because i was so bothered by how readers reacted to hyesung’s actions, and i still support him!! i totally get why he didn’t want to have the baby, and why he wanted to take “advantage” of the seme (even though, what the seme did was 10000 times worse). from my perspective the story was bittersweet because yaaay they have a cute relationship and an adorable child by the end of the manhwa, but at the same time i keep remembering how forceful it all was at the beginning. say whatever you want to say about character development but i never felt like there was any closure, yes the seme stopped being an asshole, but there was never any conversation where he took accountability, it was just hyesung accepting him because he kinda had feelings for him at one point and they were bonded so it was risky to be far from each other.
wdym they’re not actually destined and it was a forced link? i wonder how they will keep up with that TnT it seems like this couple will suffer a lot in the future and honestly i’m here for it as long as it means they will have a happy ending
