A lot of yall are dumbbb as hell and it’s fryinggg me mind you we will start with the fact the translations aren’t a 100% accurate, so I’ll give yall a little grace. Before I eat yall up with actual chapter evidence let me start off with Nanjo is a 32 year old GROWN MAN. THIRTY TWO. Most of yall can’t read past tropes and it’s sick. Meaning a lot of yall need a villain in order to conceptualize the story and that’s happening because yall can’t deep read. All three yes all three of them are complex characters but yall can’t read past smut and fake think pieces to see that. Nanjo is not the sweet naive innocent girly pop yall tryna make him out to be. Now for the chapter evidence. The first “villain” we meet is SunSun in chapter 1 he literally says he “faked being drunk, then jumped him” to which Mok replies “that sounds criminally calculated” in Chapter two. Nanjo just like yall immediately assumes Mok is a villain by making assumptions about someone he does not know AT ALL. Saying things like he’s “taking advantage of someone who is kind hearted” and that it’s not just physical abuse but mental as well he starts insulting someone he just met. Up until this point Mok has done NOTHING WRONG we all just like Nanjo just met him. Back to the chapter Mok interrupts him and says “Is that what SunSun told you” Nanjo replies “for the record he never said anything like that to me” doubles down insults Mok again saying “Somethings you just know even if no one actually says it” we as the reader know this isn’t true. In Chapter 5 Nanjo again doubles down on insulting Mok for what reason no one knows because we know nothing else about this character. Mok’s inner monologue says “Doesn’t seem like he wants to hear my side of things so what would be the point of trying?” In Chapter 8 Nanjo still has these made up assumptions about Mok being the villain saying “how did SunSun end up getting involved with someone like him” again he knows nothing about Mok and even if he’s making assumptions about the bruises SunSun had Mok and SunSun have being doing BDSM play since the beginning chapters mind you SunSun suggested the threesome. Continued. Mok finally gets tired of being insulted plays into this character Nanjo made up in his head. Chapter 9 Mok says “do you think you could spread your legs for me” then he continues and says which is very important since yall can’t read. “Why don’t you keep your nasty little OPINIONS about me to yourself alright?” To which this GROWN ASS STRAIGHT 32 year old man says “your offer, I’ll think about it”. The most sane person is Mok but yall can’t see past yalls delusions of tOp=bAd but make think pieces about shitty ass jinx puhleaazeee. Mind you all the sweets Mok eats throughout the series are literal symbolism but you know… continued in Chap 9 Mok says “it was a little underhanded but No one made him say yes. He made that decision himself” this is very important. Then he goes on to say “Technically even if he’s doing this for SunSun isn’t it still DECEIVING him by meddling in his life like this” yes,yes it is. Mind you him and SunSun been doing this since high school. Again Mok has not done anything wrong but Nanjo has from the very beginning. Then Mok goes onto say “if we are talking about who deceived who first SunSun did lie to Nanjo and use him” again Mok is the only sane and rational person thus far. Continued. Chapter 9 is hella important because all of the answers are right there for yall and yall are skipping over it Mok continues to say “as for him (Nanjo) he’ll get to feed his ego for a while feeling relived and heroic for saving SunSun. But we as the reader know SunSun don’t need saving. Now let’s pause. Nanjo is a straight man. He’s been straight for 32 years. We know this because SunSun Nanjo and Mok all admit this in previous chapters up until this point. So he willingly decided to give up that butt. I don’t think yall understand the severity of that A STRAIGHT MANNN in a homophobic world decided he was gone bend over to “save” someone he just met. Be so serious bro. Continued. Chapter 10 this STRAIGHT MAN waits three hours until Mok shows up. Meaning from the day he decided and the day of this STRAIGHT MAN had time to pull out of this situation at any point. I won’t actually get into my theory because this is already long but I digress let’s finish. Chapter 12 in the beginning a very important chapter Nanjo says “im not shameless enough to do anything with you in the place I go with SunSun” to which Mok replies “BUT YOU’VE GOT NO PROBLEM MEDDLING IN HIS LIFE BEHIND HIS BACK” Nanjo knows he’s wrong af because he pauses in his step Mok’s inner dialogue confirms “so it does bother him guess he knows it’s a shitty thing to do” a shitty thing he is in because he was hostile and made assumptions again about someone he doesn’t know. Mind you at this point this proves he has had time to think about this we just have not seen it because it hasn’t been provided this is why I say y’all’s comprehension skills are poor because you should be able to interpret that much especially since this is a picture book, but I digress. In Chapter 13 after the awkward sex Nanjo repeats something Mok said when they first had a threesome which is “what you can’t get it up again” this implies he has indeed been thinking about him since the very beginning. In this chapter we also see Mok is being mindful telling him to rest but Nanjo the straight 32 year old man is insisting on going again. And it’s not just to “save” SunSun. I said I want gonna insert my theories but at this point bi-curious Nanjo has already folded. He likes it he feels it but can’t wrap his head around it hence the title, but…moving on the sane and rational Mok has already realized what Nanjo is slow to realize because Mok has also had to be in the closet but anyways in chapter 15 Mok throws back in his face the assumptions he has made about him to continue them having sex. Mind you this 32 year old straight man did not have to agree to this he is freshly bi/gay bro don’t even really like SunSun like that he just awoke his curiosity. So this entire time he has still been deceiving SunSun in the name of being a hero boy pls. Nanjo has already started to slowly give in chapter 16 when he doesn’t swat Mok’s hand away like he did the chapter they first met. Also in 16 he is shocked at how much Mok pays attention to him something they both have in common. By 17 even though we don’t know much about Nanjo we can see he can be himself a little with Mok and he starts to really give into his sexuality. He’s feeling it more enough to orgasm only from the back he laughs because he can’t believe it himself. This chapter is also really important because they are both misunderstanding and miscommunicating. Nanjo says “if I give up on SunSun (this is important because of the later chapters) but back to the evidence will you leave him alone then?” Mok has not realized his feelings yet and misunderstands what Nanjo is implying and gets all possessive to which Nanjo consoles him by pulling him closer because he also is having trouble accepting this new side of him. Mok is hurt when Nanjo think he’s asleep and leaves because he likes him but doesn’t understand that yet. Chap 18 Mok feels disgusting for breaking his promise sex isn’t the same for him since Nanjo. Now also in this Chapter I seen someone scream r*pe pls. Learn to read bro fr. LMAOO not too short but one of my main theories is i think Nanjo might have that typical ceo manwha back story which isn’t a bad thing because the author doing they thang fr but i think once he had his encounter with SunSun it awoke something in him lmao you know… and I think it was all very confusing to a previously straight man to jump into a threesome. I feel like he probably was like well if I am gay of course I would be the top on some masculinity type shit but then he met a REAL top lmao I also feel like at first he deluded himself into believing he did it for SunSun but was actually curious the first times that weren’t so good it probably made him feel like yea I’m not that gay lmaoo but then when Mok finally hit that spot he realized oh shit this feel kinda good??? And was highly confused mind you we don’t have his pov yet and I’m kinda glad cuz we can weed out the dumbass but anywho I’m rambling Mok on the other hand is used to being in the closet or hiding his identity so he can identify it in Nanjo at least that’s what I feel and interpreted hence that second to last chapter when he rushed in there and asked him why he couldn’t get it up but before that Nanjo had already started giving in to this we know SunSun don’t care (btw I like him he just living his best unicorn life but he wouldn’t be a bad bitch if he didn’t get so much hate) when he came to cook for him he probably started realizing then like he’s nothing like what I originally thought like when they was watching Netflix you can only see a corner of Nanjo face when Mok is on his shoulder but maybe I’m delusional too but I could’ve sworn he bit his lip from the little we could see which made me think in his pov it made him nervous again this all so new for him I must stress he was previously straight got pounced on by a twink met another fine ass man that was confident in his skin and skill lmaoo oh no this getting long again but long story short I think that first lil spark turned Nanjo world upside down and confused him further. Also also before I leave when they went to get burgers on that bench Nanjo was fully about to let him kiss him but he stopped because of the rain mind you the man’s face (Nanjo) when they got back in the crib turned into straight lust when Mok slightly touched his wrist talking bout his scent mans has folded like a lawn chair mmkay im done
You have some astute observations but I don't like how you serve it insulting others. Actually I think you might be surprised about how the story develops and feel a bit stupid yourself. My theory for the story is this: (This could potentially be a spoiler so... take this as a sort of alert I guess) Nanjo has had a thing for Mok to begin with. He's a patron in the cafe Sunhwa works in, and Mok must come for a visit often, he likes sweet things and his best friend gives him freebies, so he'd must have seen him there before. He'd noticed Mok and Sunhwa have some kind of relationship going and decides to get close to him through Sunhwa. So he let's himself get seduced when the opportunity arrives. Meanwhile Sunhwa notices Nanjo eyeing Mok and Mok being oblivious to it, so he decides to manufacture an opportunity for them to grow closer by seducing Nanjo and bring the two together through the threesomes. He thinks his best friend could maybe find some happiness in the end and there's some good sex and pricey gifts in it for him so for Sunhwa it's a win win. When Mok proposes his deal to Nanjo, he accepts it because his goal has been to get Mok away from Sunhwa (not Sunhwa from Mok) and he will get to sleep with Mok, so it's a win win for Nanjo. The only one who is in a lose lose scenario (he'd said it himself) is Mok. While the other two are calculating and trying to achieve their goals he is kept in the dark following his dick and his heart gets swept away in the process. So much for your theory of Mok being the most mature and smart out of the three. Try rereading the story with this in mind and you'll find the evidence there aplenty yourself. PS: I'd bet my life that Mok didn't fuck Sunhwa in the studio, but gave him a tattoo.

Say it louder for the back row! I, however, do believe there is rape in this series (why are we censoring the word 'rape' like its' something tabu?), specifically in chapter 20, when Nanjo has clearly asked Mok to stop, countless times, but he continues because he can't control himself. So much so that, by the end, I believe Nanjo says "I don't hate it, I like, so please stop..." just to say what Mok wants to hear, because he wants Mok to stop, I mean, he does pass out immediately after that... Just because his body is responding, doesn't mean its' not rape. (I'm not complaining, I am a degenerate whore, I'm eating this up) I just want to add that Mok is also a very complex character, he has all the signs of BPD - the numerous relationships he has been in that don't last long; the continuous boredom; the risky sex; the fear that Nanjo is going to abandon him; the emotional outbursts; the inability to control himself; the self harm when he rips his earing... He shows some awareness regarding of how he is (he knows what he likes), but I don't think he knows just how deep his emotional instability affects him. Right now, Mok is obsessed with Nanjo. I would like to see this theme explored in the next season, I hope the author doesn't make Mok a "scout's boy" who is just chasing after Nanjo, if you know what I mean, I would like to see him deal with his issues alongside Nanjo, who clearly also has issues to resolve...

Yessss fren I agree with the second half especially the scout boy part because I think this story has so much potential to not only go into Nanjo background but also Mok’s which would make it sooo goood but I won’t get my hopes up. As far as the first half I only censored cuz I thought they would block the comment I wasn’t sure ,but if you go back and read he only asked him to stop because he was eating his ass when they first started in Chap 18 right? then as they get into the next two chapters (to me) it gives the typical “shy ooh stop it’s too much” typa vibe because he was becoming really sensitive to what was going on but I do believe how the chapter was set up in a eerie way because Mok was already feeling like shit not understanding his feelings and then this being Nanjo real first time kinda taking it? Because then in chapter 22 that’s the only thing he brings up and he’s embarrassed Lmao idk sista I’ve read this story 5x and that’s just what I came up with. now am I saying to not stop when someone says stop absolutely not but I just don’t really feel that’s the context

Girl, I have no problem with chapter 18, and I see your point, for me it was just that one line from Nanjo at the end that kind of made me think that... But it can also be the way the text was translated, maybe when I read the official it won't seem that way to me... Also, if both characters are ok with it, who am I to not be ok with it?
I agree in many things with you, they're complex characters like us people, Nanjo is kind of a victim of Sunhwa and a bit of Mok, but he is an adult 6 years older than them, very sucessful, with the means to get out of that mess, he has a part of responsability, he made his own decisions, everyone is there of their own free will. Having said that Mok wanted to shut Nanjo after being insulted in everyway, but he also wanted to have sex with Nanjo so he allowed the misunderstanding to continue and used it to keep Nanjo from going back on his words. I also think Nanjo found Mok beautiful but won't admit it( we'll have to wait for S2) we can see it in their first threesome, in one of their "dates", when Mok was cooking, and so on. I may be wrong, but for what i undertood from the autor final S1 notes, is that Nanjo is straight, Mok is bisexual, Sun is gay. Nanjo as a straight man ( not anymore?) Was afraid and reluctant to give in to pleasure doing it with Mok. Mok voice is kind and flirty, so maybe that's other reason why Nanjo flinches and gets confused when he's with Mok. Mok is egoistic but is trying to change for Nanjo. I belive Mok figured out Nanjo's character easily, and Nanjo being prideful, righteous, kind to others, with a good upbringing, gets triggered when Mok pinpoints his faults, and tease him. Like when Mok said "i know you're smarter than that but your feelings makes you blind" " you can't do it, you're better than that, not like him" " you're to perfect to ever make a wrong judgment" "you hate it when your secret superiority is exposed".

So as far as theories go I’m definitely along the same lines you are but that’s not what I’m talking about right now in this post. I’m talking about the fact people are misinterpreting the story and acting as if Nanjo isn’t a grown adult making these decisions of his own free will. With that being said (in my opinion) he isn’t a victim of Mok he did that all on his own. By making assumptions about him for no reason. So we’ll have to agree to disagree here. “Doesn’t seem like he wants to hear my side of things so what would be the point of trying?” Was Mok’s inner dialogue Chp5. What was he to do? Wouldn’t that also make Mok a victim of defamation? He used it to his advantage. Same as Nanjo “deciding” to play hero. So again the characters are all complex it’s not about painting someone a villain or someone innocent it’s understanding that all of them have layers and things (the past or upbringing) that have shaped them to be who they are today. It’s not about putting them in a box but understanding them. That’s all.
I agree with all of this. You summarised what I was thinking perfectly. Although I definitely agree that mok-Yeon is manipulative, it’s definitely not all black and white. Sunhwa right at the start showed how manipulative he was and Nanjo has been going behind Sunhwa’s back in some misguided notion of protecting him, when it’s perfect obvious Sunhwa doesn’t need any protecting. So they’re all manipulative. I’m extremely interested in reading Nanjo’s perspective. I have a feeling he was equally attracted to Mok-Yeon pretty quickly.

Thaaankyouuu this is what I’m saying no one is innocent but everyone is tryna make Mok the sole villain when he was forced into that role, so why not use it to his advantage hello??? As if Nanjo wasn’t being a dick from jump without even knowing Mok. Before Mok even became attracted to Nanjo he was already shitting on him for no reason! & lmao I also believe he became attracted to him pretty early on! I love all three characters

I think he just might actually be pissed they squashed him, he's small and they're two big hunks who totally lost control and stopped supporting their combined bodyweight. When my hunk husband lies on top of me with his full weight I can hardly breathe. It's the second time in not so long the threesome almost cost him his life. But true, compared to the Nanjo part, I'm less sure about the Sunhwa part (although I think it would make the story rounder if MC & ML both thought they were so smart and it turned out the least conspicuous guy was the most cunning one - kind of like Nie Huaisang from MDZS)

Yessssss to all of this!! I wish I could like this! They are performative and form the opinions from others on TikTok. And it is in fact that deep that they can’t read past a third grade level :/
THX SRSLY, YOU JUST SHORT IT ALL OUT FOR ME LMFAO
LMAOO u welcome fren
Wow I read all that preeeeaaacchhh!!! I would suggest copying this comment and posting it again for the come back, we all know there'll be more unwelcome, baseless, dumb opinions and comments here
Lmao I just might! And I was about to point out all the chapters but I was like let me chill I just don’t understand what they reading cuz it ain’t what we reading
I’m all for keeping it short. Better buy me a drink after I read this short story you wrote here
After reading, imma have to buy you a drink . You summed up the story throughly and answered some of my questions. And also you simplified for the low comprehension idiots in the comments section. Expand more on your theories, it was too short.
they're probably the ones delusional
LMAOO sorry babes I had to get the gworls together
LMAOO and is brain just rotting
Nahh you ate them up girl! Put everything I was thinking into words!
Preachhhhhhh baby!!!!
Lmao thank u sistaa and I woulda kept going cuz apparently the gworls can’t read and need us to walk them through the whole story
You have some astute observations but I don't like how you serve it insulting others. Actually I think you might be surprised about how the story develops and feel a bit stupid yourself.
My theory for the story is this:
(This could potentially be a spoiler so... take this as a sort of alert I guess)
Nanjo has had a thing for Mok to begin with.
LMAOOO womp womp womp I wasn’t speaking on theories bookie butt , but facts which where provided but sure see you next season
This ate, I need tiktok "fujo's" to stop trying to make everything seem problematic
Talk that talk!!!!
No you’re sounding a lil mean need to chill your mouth a little, there’s no reason to go around bullying, story’s are yo interpret and imagine whatever you feel like, I liked your explanation but didn’t think you were going to keep dragging people for no reason. Very weird energy from you
I don’t have to sweeten my delivery to make it work for Todd??? You must be one of the hit dogs hollerin lmaooo
The literacy rates are declining sistaaa it’s getting scary
Say it louder for the back row!
I, however, do believe there is rape in this series (why are we censoring the word 'rape' like its' something tabu?), specifically in chapter 20, when Nanjo has clearly asked Mok to stop, countless times, but he continues because he can't control himself. So much so that, by the end, I believe Nanjo says "I don't hate it, I like, so please stop..." just to say what Mok wants to hear, because he wants Mok to stop, I mean, he does pass out immediately after that... Just because his body is responding, doesn't mean its' not rape. (I'm not complaining, I am a degenerate whore, I'm eating this up)
I just want to add that Mok is also a very complex character, he has all the signs of BPD - the numerous relationships he has been in that don't last long; the continuous boredom; the risky sex; the fear that Nanjo is going to abandon him; the emotional outbursts; the inability to control himself; the self harm when he rips his earing...
Gurlll even tho I feel the same...i couldn't have worded it this brilliantly
Gurl you are right !!!
Then how do you explain Sunhwa calling them bastards and storming off when he sees them together at the end? I personally don’t think Sunhwa is that benevolent. But time will tell I guess. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
LMFAOOOO chileeee i was like what are u even on right now plssss stay on topic they really thought they ate im crying
Lmao. I was super confused. Are we reading the same story right now?
LMAO talking bout some go back and read you’ll find evidence eat my dick fr YOUU go back and read
I’m rereading the official translation and your summaries helped me to better comprehend what I missed during the first read. Thanks very much.
Of courseeee frienddd im glad i could help! I’m also rereading the officials as they come out and it’s even better
