Ugh, authors always go this route. They just have to make the second lead, who everyone actually likes, problematic at some point, or ruin their character entirely just to uplift the male lead. Like, if you want to show off how great your ML is, then give him real character development. Why drag others down just to leverage him?

Woke up today and saw only one sun instead of two. In a very bad mood now.

Went to a restaurant and saw there was a couple's special. It reminded me how single I am. In an worse mood now.

Bought myself a Tony's bar, but a monkey snatched it away. In a disastrous mood now.
