I hope the MC doesn’t end up chasing the ML… I don’t know if I’m just projecting, but even if I love someone deeply, if that person has a “soulmate” destined for them and it’s not me (even if it’s actually me, but they never tell me, so how would I know?), I wouldn’t even consider having a romantic relationship with them. Like, a similar thing happened to my friend, and it ended really badly and hurt them a lot, which definitely doesn’t make me feel any more convinced either
