I UNDERSTAND JAEKYUNG ISNT A GOOD PERSON i want to start with that so i make myself clear i am not defending him for his actions in any shape or form. he isn’t a green flag by any means but if u guys want a green flag story go read our sunny days or something (i love that manhwa btw no hate) Minghwa the author herself has said that she loves redemption arcs and she is definitely building that up right now if you guys don’t like her process and story in building up to that redemption arc STOP READING there are so many green flag manhwas, manhuas, and mangas out there. please stop reading this one and read one of those.
and another thing! ik yall are saying this shitty past doesn’t excuse the actions that jaekyung has done to others and especially dan and i agree completely. ppl saying stuff like “he sees dan’s situation and yet still treats him like trash” or “dan had a bad past too but he’s not acting like jaekyung” so on and so forth. u guys know that not all people that go through bad situations end up with empathy and care for others right?? other people hate looking at their past and who they were and other people go haywire and become HORRIBLE people w no morals. i mean just look at reality!!! I watch a lot of true crime horror stories and you know how many ppl end up doing despicable crimes and their life story lines up to show why they r like that??? again not excusing their actions bc ew but like not everyone that goes thru horrible things in life will be able to thug it out and become better. and if they do they prob need help. a lot of help. and they are going to make a lot of mistakes before they realize their problems. but PLEASE LET A STORY BUILD. LET IT GET TO THAT POINT. like look at so many means of fiction where the bad guy that everybody hates ends up having a horrible backstory and redeems themself in some way. people always eat those stories up. please yall if u guys r still reading this just know that the author loves redemption arcs. she’s stated this so many times. and me personally I LOVE a good redemption arc so i’m excited to see what jaekyung does to redeem himself and become someone we might all love at some point. AGAIN not saying i am alright w what he’s done. but if he holds himself accountable and really really changes i cant wait for that to happen even if it sucks to read rn

You're so riiight, There are some readers here who hate JK to the core but then love other ML who explicitly r*pe the MC, unalive people, Like they are counting on the redemption arc and flip 180 after hating the characters. Like I know it's still icky but at least JK asked KD if he's 'ok' with their arrangements with contract between them.
