Have you ever questioned the idea that people who aren't over 18 shouldn't read mature stuff (yaoi)?

I don't think minors, especially kids under 13, should be exposed to things such as yaoi or smut manga/anime. I will 100% admit that this makes me a bit of a hypocrite, since I started reading this stuff when I was 14, but now that I'm older and see that kids as young as 8 are reading these things I can't help but feel alarmed.
