The description is completely wrong. This is a post-apocalyptic psychological drama featuring a sentient mutant mushroom who has to learn how to infiltrate human society to find its stolen spore. But more than that it's a story about the people living in those conditions and how they navigate their often horrific world, and learning what it means to be human. 10/10, truly spectacular. last read ch 41
