I haven’t tried buying the ORV ones, but I bought a lot of the jeweler Richard novels from Amazon. In my experience it’s better to wait until the release, I bought two in preorder (different times) and they never came, even after the release, I had to cancel the order and buy it normally. You don’t lose anything more than time, though, so if you want you can try buying the preorder and see what happens
