Genuinely a painful read like wtaf is this. The mc is so gullible and annoyingly dumb it frustrates me, considering he’s been traumatised u would think he’d be a more cautious person ??? Also how tf can he not know his best friend is in love with him ? And even if he doesn’t know how could he not even at any point think hmmm he’s acting intense does he maybe like me ? Especially if he’s been in past relationships! Also why tf would u stay with the professor over ur closer friends ? But fine I’ll write that off as the drug making his judgement worse but liek be so fr u work with him occasionally and as far as we’ve seen only had dinner with him twice why would u think ur close enough to stay over his yard for weeks ?! And just ignoring the fact he’s said he’s interested in u dpmo.

Secondly the blonde is so annoying I can’t even, like his sad backstory had me until that fucking knot business like bro COMMUNICATE. Why would ur first thought be to drug him into an omega SHOUT AND DRAG HIM around constantly before u idk maybe just CONFESS UR FEELINGS ??? Like if mc has been dumb all his life then u gotta know he ain’t gonna reach the answer himself and that ur gonna need to spell ur feelings out to him?

And that professor prick is an obvious villain so I can’t even care.

The story itself js just so frustrating. Initially reading I could deal with that usual miscommunication and trickery nearly every yaoi has cause hey we ain’t new to this. So I thought we’d follow on from him using the cousin as a trick but eventually get round to opening up to each other and possibly dealing with a third love interest who stirs the pot…. But instead it’s just convoluted and so messy. So much back story is just up in the air and unexplained like instead of adding more drama why not just explore the emotional issues the past shit would have caused but for the sake of drama it’s how can we amp up the rubbish.

The pisspoor communication, unnecessary rxpe and unlikeable characters just makes the whole thing so painful to read. I have to say it’s poorly written when it relays so heavily on these over the top scenarios to avoid exploring any emotional depth !
