I think the older brother ended up like this because his parents gave him the responsibility of taking care of his younger brother and probably didn't offer the older brother any love making him depend on the younger brothers love. It happens a lot with parents constantly telling the older sibling to take care of the youngest and if anything happens they get it trouble all that without receiving any praise or gratitude from the parents. He misunderstood the love from the younger brother and also feels like he will end up alone without his younger brother like how his parents left him. He is definitely wrong and I hope he realizes and also gets someone to show him real love and care. He also needs therapy.
