Ms. Manhwa - You're not just whiny but also pretty childish. You say your piece and block me from responding. In any case since I typed this up I'm going to put it here - Your arguments are weak and delusional. I've never read an author note where the author said they completed the story in exactly the number of chapters they planned. Every single one of them talk about how they ended up writing way more chapters than they originally planned and some even twice as many chapters. Increase in chapters doesn't indicate a change in direction. I don't know about the merch wars. Twitter wars are very common particularly for triangles. Again that doesn't prove anything about a change in direction. The best you can say is that you don't agree with the mangaka's ending and that's perfectly fine. If everyone liked the same thing we would only have 1 type of story ever. I read this manga when it was ongoing and from the beginning I thought all indications pointed to Taekyung being a means to character growth for all 3 mc and for bringing the Haesoo and Juwon together. There was no way this was going to end any other way when it was made clear over and over that Haesoo loves Juwon and keeps thinking about him even when he is with Taekyung. In life you would compromise because it is too hard to have a relationship your parents and society won't accept but you'd be hard pressed to find a fiction of any genre that ends that way. No writer will end a story as a happily ever after with a mc compromising and being with the person he doesn't love.
Though the writer made a valiant attempt to rehabilitate him the writing had already disintegrated and he had made such a bad mess of things that both the story and the MC are unrecyclable trash. Before anything went wrong let's take a look at his behavior. He has a very close relationship with Jaemin who promises that when they grow older they will buy a house and live together. Jaemin tells him repeatedly that he is just waiting for him to get to college. Once he gets to college everyone and their mother knows Jaemin likes him but MC is somehow insecure. Jaemin makes a date with him on a Sunday saying "he has something important to say". What does the MC do? He flirts with Soohyun and kisses him. Accepts a ring from him. Gets drunk and goes to Soohyun's house barely days before the Sunday when Jaemin said he has something to say. Has sex with Soohyun and then goes to uni with the marks showing to meet Jaemin who has to button his collar for him. He does all this while claiming that he loves Jaemin who is left to hold the bag. Then he claims that Jaemin made him feel lonely by not confessing to him. Really? What part of him doting on you and saying in actual words that he wants to be together? Because he didn't rush to have sex with a school student? Because he waited? After wasting half a day reading this my only question is why are 3 perfectly good men so obsessively in love with such a trash. In my head-cannon he cheats on Seunghyun who eventually leaves him and MC ends up truly alone to face his demons in his dreams all by himself.
I agree with some of the comments that said the story is not very well written and large parts of the narrative is missing and none of the relationships are fleshed out. However the level of simping for Kangwoo and blaming of Jeonghan is shocking. The mangaka has given enough evidence for why Jeonghan felt lonely in that relationship. Everyone close to Jeonghan (his family and his best friend) knew about the relationship and no one around Kangwoo did. He didn't have the guts to tell his brother he was dating Jeonghan even when he was wallowing in grief after the breakup. It was heart-breaking when Gyutae tells Jeonghan he loves him and Jeonghan responds that it's the first time someone he loved said the words back to him - after a long term relationship where they lived together for 5 years if Kangwoo couldn't bring himself to say the words once then he doesn't deserve to be in that relationship. The worst for me though was the scene of Kangwoo and Eunsoo walking in on a beaten up Jeonghan who has just been disowned by his family. While Eunsoo rushes forward to hug Jeonghan all Kangwoo does is stay far away frozen up. He wants all the good things about the relationship without even owning up to it. He did not reveal the relationship to a single person and called it disgusting when his colleagues asked about it. Jeonghan is an idiot for putting up with all that for so many years before finally walking out.
I have read enough comments to say that NO ONE LIKED KANGWOO JEONGHAN AND HIS NEW LOVE INTEREST simply bc they're all trash: The first a coward, the second doesn't know how to communicate and the third is a rapist. All the comments are about how disgusting they found how jeonghan didn't root for better but instead choose another violent relationship, so yeah, the story just suck
I want the wife and the younger guy to get together and dump the cheating husband.
That's fking bullshit. Just Cuz "HE'S" single doesn't give him the fking right. How about Be a decent person and Don't stick your nose up someone relationship. Ur saying if a girl/guy tried to pursue you partner and succeed you wouldn't hate the person for also getting in between knowing damn well they could destroy a relationship? Would YOU also do what he did to a couple? Just cuz YOUR "single" Would that make you a good person? Or a peice of shit?
Tell me when you get married who makes the vows - you and your spouse only or the entire world? You made a promise to each other to stay together and take care of each other. Keeping the promise is up to the 2 of you. If you don't want to be cheated on then pick someone who won't cheat on you to make the promise with. I expect my partner to keep the promise irrespective of how many people pursue them. If they will go after the first person who pursues them then what was that promise worth?
Read the laws as well. You get a better divorce settlement if your spouse cheats but you can't sue the person they cheated with coz even the law recognizes the fault is with the one who was in the marriage and broke the vows. A few countries in the east that had laws against cheating where you could sue someone for being the "home wrecker" also revised their laws. Basically if you can't keep your marriage together without help from the whole world you have a shitty marriage. Deal with it.
I'm writing this clarification in a separate post coz I keep seeing people complaining about this though it's been mentioned multiple times in the responses.
Hari doesn't look like the sister. The only thing that's same is the hair color. The mother knew it was not her daughter when she brought the child into the family. But she was mentally unstable and suffering from delusions which is why she mistook Hari for her daughter when she was having one of her episodes. The brothers were very clear that Hari doesn't look like their sister and is not their sister from the get go. They resented her for getting all their parent's attention though she wasn't biologically related. So, can we now stop arguing a non-existent point and move on to other things that make you uncomfortable?
People should stop calling everything they don't like "rape". There was none in this story so far. They came to an agreement and it was consensual. It was not out of love but contractual where the Marquess protects Ein in return for his service which includes that kind of service. Ein was not being harassed against his will, then or now. Also, one person being rough doesn't make it rape either if both agreed to it. Stop making the term cheap by randomly throwing it around.
I get the premise that omegas being forced to take suppressants that may have some side effects is unfair. However, I think Tsugumi's attitude of not even considering taking a suppressant and saying he'll control it with his will is taking it too far. It's his body doesn't mean he can go around in public while in heat without taking suppressants. That's just irresponsible behavior. In this particular instance, he takes at least half the blame. The other guy did his best to hold back and get him to take his suppressants, and offered the ones he carries in case Tsugumi didn't have any. They ended up the way they did because he was trying to prevent Tsugumi from going out in public while in heat without taking suppressants.
If I were to go out in public dirty and smelly after not bathing for a month, people are going to react badly and they have a right to. This is much worse.
If I remember right, his parents said, the first one he was given didn't suit him and made him sick. The doctor prescribed him a different one that would suit him more but he refused to take it. I'm not saying he should suck it up and take medicine that would make him sick. But he's just being stubborn without even trying.

While what Jack did was bad I was glad it saved Brown. Dora is messed up. Just as the aunt is overly possessive and manipulative Dora is obsessive and self sabotaging. I can still understand her resenting a much younger Jack as a 13 year old when he first came to the house. But to not get over it and feel that way in her late 20s shows a twisted character. I'm glad Brown escaped. The 3 crazies belong together and they can mess each other's life up all they want.
Just because someone is in their late twenties doesn’t mean they automatically suddenly get unbrainwashed and are able to heal all trauma out of nowhere. She’s basically completely isolated and has no one to turn to. She’s the same as she was all those years ago. It’s unfortunate but sometimes that happens. Sometimes ppl are that isolated and fall through the cracks. She’s been denied education and made a de facto maid and caregiver. There is literally no one for her, she has no friends. How do you expect her to get out of there, out of that perspective, out of the only thing she’s ever known, the only sense of stability she has had within one year of meeting a dude? You have to tread lightly with victims who are deeply attached to their abusers. They don’t think those ppl are their abusers, they hinge all their trust and sense of self in them because they trust them so deeply. You can’t simply tell them that they’re abusers, they won’t believe you, it’d be attacking someone precious to them and that perspective shift is impossible to happen so fast. It takes so much patience and care, honestly Brown should have said whatever nice nonsense he had to about that hag to get her out of there and once they leave she’d have been free.
That's not how relationships work. A relationship is a 2 way thing. Brown is not Dora's psychiatrist or care-taker. Dora was never going to leave. It's good that he got away without getting dragged around for too long.
Every abuse victim doesn't have access to a psychiatrist, how do you think these ppl get out of these situations? How do you think ppl got out of these situations before psychiatrists were even a thing? It is with the help, the patience, empathy, and compassion of regular ppl around them. I’m not saying it’s an easy task or fair on the ppl who take it up, but sometimes ppl inconvenience themselves for the sake of others and that’s not bad or wrong.
