IM IN CHAPTER 53 AND HAVE THEORYS, so I think Plachan brought him back and thats why he sought the time axis to bring back his brothers. He obviously doesnt care for the crown, and got very upset when the queen spoke of Colian, even Colian points out how wierd he is for a guy that is supposed to become a mad king. I believe he became mad because he lost his brothers one by one and could do nothing, considering how his attitud has changed just by the queen stopping pursuing his brothers and seems to slowly be getting his act together. Also the fact the goddess said that Chase didnt bring him back since he is first a king before anything sorta solidified that someone else mustve brought him back instead.
Plachan may not outright love his brothers but he at least seems to care? Idk thats just a theory. I shall continue reading
