Honestly that wasn’t so predictable for me but also predictable. I feel like old competition manga likes to show bottom tier to first place stories but that doesn’t really happen recently, because realistically it’s impossible to close the gap on years of experience and pure talent.
That’s why I honestly thought Tokise would get 2nd place, maybe even 3rd (though Takezou would miss his chance to symbolically ‘defeat’ Meiryou).
I guess Satowa’s wish during her first appearance chapter came true lol (she said she would join a run down koto club and bring them to first place in nationals to make headlines). I also love how Chika hugged Takezou when his gf was right next to him xD
I do feel terrible for Meiryou and Ichiei though. But the top 4 still get to do the performance, and they still got perfect scores.
