I am so pissed off at the mom and brother, as a mom myself how could I even think of leaving my child to struggle on his own?! You have debt and you're letting your son who is barely an adult pay for it and take care of you while you stay home all day? Even if you asked your sister for support in this situation it would have been better. She enabled the bullshit and that made her worse than the brother in my eyes. No wonder Heewon came out so twisted and scared...no wonder he felt more at peace with his abuser than in his own home.
