i feel like some ppl have a fundamental misunderstanding of the intended genre/theme of this story. look at their other stories stockholm syndrome and lost things, they are about fucked up characters doing fucked up things. they are exploring dark, toxic, and antisocial dynamics. if u expect the characters to be good people or have healthy relationships, u will be sorely disappointed because these are not traditional romances. just look at the title here, 'betrayal of dignity'. this story is about completely rescinding ur pride and morality and succumbing to ur desires.
