I think Clark here is referencing to the fact that people who had loved him before all died.
I saw people speculating it was because Clark was crazy, but at the end he seemed to be melancholic looking at the therapist’s finger rather than glad he died, so I feel like it doesn’t make much sense.
He also stated he didn’t want Alex to get caught as the killer, which in the end he wasn’t because all evidence was burned.
As dog shit the ending seems for Clark, I actually think it’s the best ending he could have got at this point. He got what he wanted. Info for his hobby, escaped scotch free, and didn’t get Alex caught.
The only things he regrets was getting everyone that loved him killed. So that’s why he’s glad the investigator didn’t love him. :)
But the therapist was in a relationship with clark although on and off and was still alive until alex killed him. So what exactly does clark feel towards him?
He was important to him, even after they broke up. He was Clark’s only friend, and the fact he got emotional at the end about wanting to find his finger shows he cared about the therapist and was angry Alex had the nerve to kill him so brutally and senselessly, and keep the finger as a “trophy” of sorts.
I’ve read multiple isekai’s now that have a ML that killed the FL in their past life and can I just say- I can never forgive them lmao. No matter if 100+ chapters go by. Sometimes I’ll think they’re cute and then I’ll remember, and wish they would leave the FL tf alone :)
I will never like or forgive the ML, but I still am excited to see more chapters! The story seems interesting and I wanna know how everything plays out (even if it is unsatisfying since it’ll probably have the FL and ML falling in love together lol)
