in the novel, camilla doesn't slap the nanny just like that, but each time the nanny opened her mouth, camilla will slap her until her cheeks bleeding and her mouth shuts. even when the duke's aide tried to stop her, camilla's presence was oppressing that even other servants bowed a little and reminded of their duke. and the duke asked camilla of how to punish the nanny. and camilla, in front of everyone, not only punish the nanny but also warn the duke, before she whisks her little brother in her arms.

oh right! camilla slapped nanny so much that she was on her knees, and when the duke appeared, the nanny acted pitiful, and become brave to scold camilla, but camilla slapped that nanny. and the duke said it's up to camilla to punish the nanny, and ha! the nanny was scared seeing how easy the duke abandoned her. and the servants witnessed that realize camilla has authority in the household.

if you expect strong and clever fml, this isn't for you. she does use her brain, but the villains are smarter. fml keeps letting them go over, over and over. after that, the scenes will pan at romantic plot like fml will be sad and the potential partners will soothe her, and jealous jealous. and the villains will appear again, fml will let them go again instead of using her trainings, and romantic rivalry between potential partner again. rinse and repeat. oh, fml also dumb about romance nor she noticed her family is sad whenever she mentioned about leaving the family. so yep, there you go.

Samee. I also can't see her being the same as those wise and smart FMLs especially with her mindset and how she was raise. She just learned how to read properly at 7 and she was raised with love as a child. Even if she was abused, she didn't have super dark af thoughts about revenge like other isekais. You would avoid it if you want a badass woman but def a read if you want to see a child act like a child. She does try to solve things but not in a way we are used to i guess. The oblivious trope doesn't move me anymore lol.

the novel slowly builds duchess escra and camilla relationship like their first met up was while stargazing. and camilla let him go when dive runs away after discover his scars, and nanny hits him again. the novel was slow pacing than the manhwa which sums up everything in this one chapter 105. i wonder what camilla will do to the nanny, and duke escra reaction based on the novel.

scrolling through comment section, i didn't expect readers to actually want yeon to end up with yayul. he literally killed her in past life mercilessly, and about to do the same in current timeline when he's grown. i understand if it's just a ship but to really want yeon, who suffered death from yayul's hand (and will again - attempted), to end up with yayul?! i assume readers haven't read the novel yet because it's just cruel to yeon. isn't she unloved enough in past life? let her be happy and devoted by ryucheong.

I think it's because of how they treat Yeon at first in the present timeline. Though Yayul killed Yeon in the past, the Yayul in the present chapters is like a golden retriever and treats Yeon really well. He's cute, and even though he doesn't talk much, the story shows that he likes her based on his actions.
While in Ryucheong's case, he's like a tsundere, like a typical bad boy ML who wants to act or look cool in front of someone he likes. He acts as if he doesn't care, but actually does. Like, "It’s not like I wanted to help. Just figured you’d mess it up less if someone was around." That type of guy.
And who’d want a guy like that for our Yeon?
I can’t speak for others, but as someone who liked Yayul for Yeon at first, that’s my reason why. I find Ryucheong’s actions toward Yeon annoying, and I think that his actions are unbecoming of a male lead, in my opinion.
But then I realized that they’re kids and that is how kids usually act. I expected them to act mature toward their adoration for Yeon when, in reality, they’re just kids.
Though I only started to realize this when I found out who the ML is and began to gaslight myself into looking for reasons why Ryucheong is better suited as the ML.
Aside from that, not all readers have read the novel, and most of our opinions are based on how they act in the recent chapters. It’s not like we know how he’ll act in the future. And even if you say he might try to kill Yeon again, we didn't know, because, again, we haven’t read the novel. It’s not like we’d assume he’d stay the same person he was in the past. Of course, we expect him to become a better person since he’s in a better environment in the present. But yeah, that’s also another reason why Ryucheong should be the ML then. Thanks for the spoiler and giving me more reason to like ryucheong more.
