I mean when you consider Guwon's circonstances he really just has the mind of a child that doesn't know right or wrong... And even then, the rules that he made up look like they were established based on trial and errors like... he realized how important drugs were for the town in the past so of course who would want a shortage of those in dire circonstances? I mean between the life of a child that isn't really useful at the moment and the probability of a hound/villager that is essential to the town needing the same medicine in the near future, the choice is evident... especially if it's like the last stock of medicine... in dark times, dark decisions have to be made.
While the punishment of being beaten too death might have been a bit too much for the crime, it could also be explained if in the past there was lighter punishments and people were not scared of it and did not respecting the rules in consequence... I mean we have prisons in our society for a reason but I imagine that during the apocalypse why would you want to take care of a prisoner when food is scarce and you'd need dedicated facilities/surveillance for him? So instead eliminate the guy and make sure that everybody else learn to not make the same mistake so... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ the public punishment makes sense to me.
Now, while he may consider Teach's opinion on right or wrong rules/decisions, I can feel that feels will go down like... can the rights and wrongs applied in a normal society even be applied the same way in an apocalyptic world? I doubt that... He's probably gonna listen to him and shit's gonna go down ( ̄へ ̄)
I've been re-reading Who Made Me A Princess for what feels like a hundred of times and I really love the father-daughter relationship and how the MC is portrayed so I was wondering if anyone had some similar recs.
Like, I really appreciated how the author didn't made Athy to be this kind of crazy manipulating cunning baby that has a plan for everything, while she was cautious of potential threats all she did was pretty tame as a baby and it only got more elaborated when she reached a coherent age for a protag that tries to look like a normal baby and not pass for the genius of the millenium that all of the empire should praise (while she might have appeared has a genius to the people that were close to her, they didn't make it a big deal that should be known throughout the continent and for some reason I really liked that).
Also, I really liked how the author waited for the mls to be grown up before mentioning any romantic interest on her part. I find it so weird everytime a full grown adult falls in love with a 5 yo even though they're in a child's body like what do you mean you find that baby cute and interesting, someone call the cops... Such a development would only make sense if the mc also regressed mentally imo (which happened in an isekai manhwa that I forgot the name) or died really young before being reincarnated or turning back time.
As for the father-daugther relationship I like how we can see Claude slowly open up and not be like wow she's so cute/stubborn, I'll immediately dote on her (a boring plot most of the manhwas use these days imo). And the fact that she doesn't just possess the body of someone else but came back in time and still had this kind of slow work to build a relationship with her dad is so fucking great. Like I always kind of feel bad when a mc possesses a body and doesn't have to put that much work to have everything that the og mc didn't have, I mean you better have a better ending than the og mc when you know the future and they didn't but still endured a shitty life, wdym they were weak and you won't be like them ?! you didn't even begin on equal footing from the start, you read the cheating manual!
OMG sorry for the rant, but if anyone has recs similar to WMMAP or even to I Became The Male Lead's Adopted Daughter then please give them to me... I'm craving for some cute father-daughter bonding panel to bless my eyes associated to an interesting plot and well thought out character development (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I liked Daughter of the Emperor for similar reasons. I would recommend it, but I would also make the statement that (in my opinion) the father/daughter relationship is one of the only saving graces of it towards the end. It's a bit unsatisfying in other aspects and I don't even think I finished. So I would say read at your own risk.
Someone call truck-kun to make me reincarnate in this story so I can slap the living shit out of that f-ing emperor... And mister magician man I get that you want the emperor to realize edgar's feelings on his own but with how dense this mf is someone needs to get in his face and spell it out to him so way to go Liliana!!!
I hope she really says what everyone's thinking in the next chapter :"You damn emperor! You're just a self-centered mf that doesn't even care about cute little edgar or your contractual wife and just use them as excuses to wallow in your self-pity and have a sense of superiority! " Brother can't even think logically despite having turn back time and not being under a spell anymore smh Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
Slap only? Be cruel. He's a fucking bastard who trampled on his little brother two times!!
And to even try and suppress their powers tsk. I hate that they remember yet also I hope thy suffer and feel guilt forever.
