It's sad to see but honestly in this case I think it's a good thing the ml has kept his distance and silence. He hasn't come begging and he isn't truly interfering he's letting the MC sort himself out even if it means they'll never see each other again and I give him credit for that. Hopefully they can meet again and start on a clean page for real this time, no lies, just meeting on terms made by their own.
