My favorite part, besides the food, is actually the NPCs. The way they acknowledge that they are Npc and are in a "system" and know that most players just want rewards. A few other stories that I've read had Npc kinda break the 4th wall/the script of "Oh great hero" as a joke but this story does it so well.
I know most peeps on here are hella upset or at least a bit more ify when it comes to Lei's recent actions and I mean I can totally understand, I was a bit too, but then I took a step back and thought about it. This is from FL's point of view, so everything is scary, every one of Lei's actions is compared to Pei's, which if we are being honestly are both similar but fundamentally different, but if we were to take this story from say Lei's point of view. Her actions wouldn't make a damn lick of sense and would be hella frustrating, he knows not a thing about her past and trauma, to him their relationship is a constant pull and push with some wall that no matter what he does he can't get around. His most recent actions have seemed pushy, but it's literally all he can think of to do, thoughts like "maybe if I'm more persistent, maybe if I show her more love." NOT TO MENTION her relationship with Pei would be the most confusing thing, the dude almost DESTROYED her voice in the beginning, tried to kidnap her on multiple occasions, almost bought her from her parents. Yet here they are, having seemingly normal chit-chat, always being found together, hugging each other in an elevator. Literally anyone else would be more than traumatized yet she seems (again from Lei's pov) to keep coming to him like some kinda of magnet, so of course he'd be thinking something like "He's done all this f*cked up shet to her and she still seems to hang around him. How could I possibly compete when all I do is shower her in love and she still seems to reject (in many a forms) Me?"
I do agree to an extent, he has eyes he uses it. He can tell she’s been through a lot and she has trauma, even if my gf would’ve not told me she had trauma or was abused I would have to take the hint. It’s literally in his face, I would be frustrated that she’s going to him, but I wouldn’t be frustrated her acting the way she does.
She gets scared when he touches her in that way, that tells me something is up. It looks like she’s been abused. That would’ve been my first thought. Everything is there for him. The least he could’ve done was made her feel safe, but no. He’s doing the same thing as the ex.(not abusing, but his words. He talks exactly like the ex) He also has the audacity to belittle her like she’s nothing. She’s not perfect and she does overreact sometimes, but most of the times she has a good reason. She be looking so broken down and he makes it worse.
I don’t know if you realized but she’s been going to the hospital a lot lately, he is no good for her. He causes her so much pain and sorrow. He says he knows her, yet he doesn’t act like it. Their relationship is not good at all, it’s just like the ex relationship.(without abuse) She just needs to go on her own.
Right now my dude on some dumb dumb juice, he knew the ant he defeated had a healing ability as well, he could of just raise the ant!! That way it only seems like he could do it to monsters!!!
The thing is remember how it’s harder to raise the dead of a powerful foe? Maybe he figured it’ll be easier to raise him up even with the passed time
SAMMEE, but then the ant would he follow him with that pride. Perhaps the human was easier..It does feel weird him summoning the shadow of a human.
I was thinking the same, but maybe its plot drive to see how summoning a human affects his own character. He's changed a lot from the beginning but overall he still strives for justice and even though this is "justified" is he gonna keep him or let him rip after he saves her?
He did already summon a dead human. His shadow warrior in the background that had that question mark by his head when jin-woo said how it's prob kinda bad to summon a human shadow was an adventurer he fought against earlier in the series and defeated.
Yeah to be more accurate he killed the human and raised it when he was trapped inside the red gate
