Ok wow I did not expect that many people to reply and ask for a part 2 but here it goes.

Again it’s been a while since I read the novel so I don’t remember all the details, this is more of a general summary more so focusing on the development of their relationship rather than the plot.

Where I left off was Taekjoo (gonna continue referring to him at Taek) escaped the island using Zhenyas sister and so he continues to search for the stuff related to Anastasia and the blueprints basically trying to figure out wtf is going on. He gets into contact with his side and stuff but again I sort of forgot all the stuff that happens in this part. Where I remember again was Taek, using his magical fucking shape shifting technique disguises himself as a doctor to go visit his mother who is hospitalized. I forgot why she is there but most importantly is that there’s people after Taekjoo and so he’s not safe nor is she really. I think the government is after him bc of the blueprints??? There’s either some sort of inside job thing or he was betrayed again I’m iffy on this. Anyway at the hospital he comes into the room and guess who is there??? His baby daddy Zhenya sitting by his mother’s hospital side as she sleeps. He tries to play it off as he’s just a doctor bc remember he is disguised but Zhenya recognized them hips immediately. He calls Taeks cellphone and it rings, blowing his cover. Zhenya said something like “zaika I caught you” or “did you have fun running?” (Zaika means bunny by the way in Russian so mans be calling Taek his bunny okaayyyy pet name). It’s also often used in Russian as like something you call your prey.

Taek doesn’t wanna wake his mom so he gets pushed into the bathroom that was within the hospital room and zhenya immediately becomes handsy. I mean mans was ready to fuck him while Taeks mom lay on the other side of the door asleep. They get interrupted by the sound of I think again officers or gov officials coming to find Taek. Taek then begs Zhenya to help him and get him out of there. Zhenya I think said something like ask me for my help or Taek was like help me now pls I’ll go with you. Anyway Zhenya stops himself from feasting on Taek’s cake and they get caught up in a chase. I think zhenya had a motorcycle he came on or a car, either way they speed off in that while both sides are shooting at each other. The chase was intense but they escape and end up at some abandoned motel. NOOWWW HERES THE GOOD SHIT

Ok prepare yourselves. They get to the motel and Zhenya is injured at this point either from the fall they took earlier during the chase or gun shot wound. Zhenya leans on the table in the room and watches Taek as he finds a first aid kit and treats the wound. He is genuinely concerned about Zheyna at this point which HELLO development especially since he did get injured helping Taek. Taek isn’t even done treating him before Zheyna back him against the table and… THEY KISS. Yes chat I repeat they start to make out. This is big bc earlier on the island Taek refused to kiss him saying their relationship isn’t one where they do that. So now they r kissing and they take it to the bed and have real consensual sex for the first time (or as consensual as it can be at this point). Afterwards, they have a dialogue that results in Taek saying he won’t run from Zheyna anymore because he just finds it exhausting and Zheyna will keep looking for him anyway so he doesn’t wanna go through another chase arc (and neither do we as an audience respectfully).

The part from here on is blurry to me, I think they end up taking down whomever was after them both and i honestly don’t remember shit about the blueprints. However it all ends with Zheyna becoming the Russian ambassador for Korea and Taek continues his job and missions. They also proceed with an actual relationship?? Zheyna be popping up unannounced at Taeks moms home, where his mom is super fond of him even though neither of them understand each other (zhenya doesn’t speak Korean and mama Taek doesn’t speak Russian) Taek been speaking in Russian to Zheyna all this time. Anyway he makes himself at home and the whole scene is honestly super cute and domestic but ofc his horny ass has to make it weird for a bit where he tries to again get down and dirty with Taek around the mom. But they have dinner together where Taek lowkey bullies Zheyna and they laugh and stuff. But yeah overall it ends on the note that they are basically kinda dating and zheyna be all pissy when Taek leaves on missions. I’m probably gonna reread the story just to understand the plot better but here was my summary.

I finished the novel a while ago so I forgot some things but here’s the gist.

After this point, Taekjoo (imma write Taek for him) tries to escape multiple times and obviously fails because like Zhenya said the island is in the middle of nowhere, it’s super cold too (it’s Russia). It becomes a thing where Taek and Zhenya make a game out of it where they compete at certain things (ex. Who can catch more fish, who can hunt better, rock paper scissors at one point etc.) the deal is whoever loses has to grant the wish of the winner. Obviously the only thing zhenya wants is Taek’s booty cheeks while Taek just wants to escape. Even during these matches and while Zhenya leaves the island Taek tries to escape.

Slowly they start developing feelings for each other, more so on Zhenyas part, but because he has the emotional capacity of a toddler and is lowkey a sociopath, he cannot express himself and instead just keeps hurting Taek but there is some development. Zhenya brings Taek Korean food which was his way of thinking about him. At one point Zhenyas sister arrives and starts questioning their relationship and this is when Taek kinda realizes how ridiculous their relationship is and how complacent he is got (at this point zhenya and Taek had been sleeping together in the same bed all this time he has been trapped there). Taek has a moment where he decides enough is enough and tries to grab blankets to sleep in a different room. Zhenya stops him and tells him he has no right to decide what to do bc Zhenya basically controls him and whatever. Taek finally snaps and claps back at him saying he’s had enough which absolutely makes Zhenya tweak out and he starts to choke Taek out. Taek says he’d rather die than keep sleeping with him and laughs which results in Zhenya actually nearly killing him. Realizing what he’s done, he lets Taek drop to the floor and this is the very first time Zhenya had ever been panicked about what he’d done/ almost killing someone. I guess at this point is where he slowly realizes that he actually wants Taek alive/ likes him. He quickly leaves the island to get away from the moment while his sister checks on Taek and provides him with first aid (he’s still breathing but obviously man’s got choked out he isn’t ok).

Taek comes to and this part is a little iffy I think the sister tells him she’d never seen him react like that before when he thought he kills Taek fr so she kinda try’s to tell him like I think he cares for you but in his own very insane way. Then this part is where it gets wild, people come and like bomb the mansion presumably to kill Zhenya who isn’t there at the time so Taek and the sister have to run and try to hide. I think Taek ends up getting shot or injured (but not deadly) but still it’s super cold he’s injured and he hides in a cave to which Zhenya finds him in (at this point Zhenya returns to the island and is trying to fend them off and also find Taek). He finds him and treats him, and is lowkey being more kind whatever that means to him. They have a moment outside where zhenya was sitting outside in the snow and Taek decides to join him with some vodka and kinda make small talk together. This moment was actually pretty cute it was like the first kinda normal interaction they had. Then I think Taek trips or gets knocked onto the snow on his back but he kinda just lays there and admires the sky. Zhenya gets on top and stares at him, and then tries to kiss him but Taek was like nah our relationship isn’t one where we kiss. The stuff after is again iffy to me but zhenyas sister has an illness where she needs an inhaler or something and one of the chemicals in the inhaler thing can make an explosive so while zhenyas sister was about to leave the island on another helicopter, Taek bombs the roof top and uses her as a “hostage” (I think she was in on the plan to help him escape) and Taek ends up escaping the island with her on the helicopter while zhenya watches in despair bc his helicopter was bombed and couldn’t go after him.
