This series annoys me because if the author thought 1% harder, we could have avoided the whole amnesia plot. We could have avoided mystery voices in the hear, we could have avoided shamens popping out of no where to give information that makes MC run away... MC already had reasons to run away. MC had many, in each of these instances. And yet we ignore the setup and go with random voices and old shamens? Bruh, I feel like I'm reading a Wattpad story with the ignorance of set-ups that already existed. The first time, no need to explain, MC just found his family dead. Amnesia not needed. The second time, chains everyone? He was imprisoned as a child and already on the run, you just keep the original motivation. Keep a misunderstanding if you have to, that's better than mystery voices with no explanation

The fact that MC gets sleepy all the time really worries me. I know they're passing it off as a quirk now, that we readers assume it's because MC worked too hard in his last life, so now he can relax. It's become part of his personality to be slower and tired in his expressions. Not just physically sleepy but also mentally exhausted. But I'm concerned. That's not a typical symptom. Any good author will have a better explanation for something so heavily foreshadowed, and I'm scared ā„ļ¹ā„

There was the scene early on where MC said the sky was full of colors and when the buildings touched the colors they disintegrated. I think that was a flashback dream that might have been the world ending, and MC was going to accept her death, but ML didn't allow her. So MC almost dying from the colors in the sky lost her memory and now ML is trying to fabricate a regular earth looking experience, even though he, and others are not actually human anymore.... The world has been completely corrupted

Ngl I normally hate amnesia plots, but series like these are why I can't say I 100% hate anything because when done good, it's hella good. I'm now reading two amnesia plots both kinda similar in vibe. And I think it works because both have a legitimate reason there is amnesia, and a good chunk of mystery because we don't know why yet. I'm camping this one!
