I feel like many Koreans don’t really understand the idea of being dark-skinned. They don’t see it often because most of them are really fair. A lot of them don’t even get tan, they just get sunburned. Korea is a cold place so it makes sense, but I think that’s also why some (and I mean many) Koreans can be racist. ┑(￣∇￣")┍

"A little tanned" compared to his original skin color. You can't turn brown with A LITTLE tan.
For example I can notice myself getting a little tanned in summer, but still get comments like "how are you still this white". -Not korean, just saying

That's totally different because you can see the DIFFERENCE in the way YOU tanned, but not the MC tho, he's still pale as hell, no difference

I was trying to work out their age difference and I think when top just entered secondary, bottom had just graduated which I don’t think is too bad but still icky
