Translation is so ass. At some point it switches pronouns multiple times, like the team can't differentiate from "me, I, she, her, he, him" like who tf is this speech bubble about since the whole sentence is completely unrelated.
Other than the pronouns, I can't even tell if this is the fault of the writer or the translation group missing it, but the way it speedran through the lore about the past gave me whiplash, it's like one thing to the next.
Is the novel any better? Kind of interested but not if the MC who has the mentality of an old woman has a love interest.

Bruh, I thought going here would clear my confusion after reading chapter 1 and 2 on mrm but I guess everyone's confused here too. Idk wtf happened during that 7 years(like how did he become an elitist like his bro's abusers/killer) and wtf do you mean this is another Backlight situation where all the happy stuff happening rn is in the past and MC becomes miserable and pretty much not living in the present.
I'm just gonna let this simmer for 5 years or something cus that 7 years flashback is gonna kill me.

High key reminds me of princess yakuza due to the same way the MCs thinks, fights and the action too(amazingly drawn fight scenes and same amount of comedy/fanservice). Highly recommend it!! It's genderbent isekai where an old man yakuza dies and reincarnated as a princess in a fantastical world.
Completly different plot BTW, gramps wakes up as a mistreated princess and immediately targeted. Gramps has no grand goal of defeating a demon lord or fighting the strongest, I haven't read the story for a long time but originally, they were just escaping assassins targeting og princess and things got bigger from there(last i read, gramps got himself a half a dragon boy who wants to marry em)
WAIT HOLY SHIT WE GOT A SLICE OF LIFE HAPPY ENDING VERSION
