I don’t understand the rules of uploading and scans??? Why can’t people just ask to use other scans, and continue to use them, or ask to upload when it’s not being uploaded and then take it down when the og scan wants to update?? Do y’all get paid or something. Just genuinely curious cause I been reading for awhile now and it doesn’t make sense to me.
I'm an uploader myself, and most of us don't get paid. Unless your a large scans group that has their own site or some kind of donation service like Ko-Fi or patreon, you won't earn any money. For me, I translate and upload chapters because it's fun for me and I like to provide content for others. I didn't really understand the second part of your question, but I think your asking why scans groups dislikes other people sniping their project? If that's your question, it's because most aggregator sites only uploads the first uploaded version of a chapter, which means if a person snipes a chapter, the original translator's chapter probably won't be uploaded to most sites.

But what about other languages? This uploader translated spanish scans and the original doesn’t want that. Same thing happened for ‘Suras lover’. Is that still sniping?

As a former leader of a scan group I can tell you it’s complicated.
First of all the group did all the hard work. They cleaned it and type set it, and most of the time when people re translate they don’t even add who they got it from... plus if they screw up translations people will blame who they got it from not the fact that they may not speak the language well- plus re translating something over and over changes the story.
Also, most groups will say yes to re translating IF you ask.the thing is people usually don’t even bother to ask
And finally, people don’t like it when their work is uploaded to sites like this. Because they lose control over the work (they can’t take it down, sites like this one profit off it, etc) and keep in mind most scan groups do everything for free and they’re giving their time and heart into a project only for it to be misused.
Hmm... I’ve been seeing it more often lately. Just wondering if there’s middle ground. Can’t we share internationally bruh? Fujoshi life is expensive. BTW which group?

You probably won’t understand it until you have it done to you. There’s no place here for moral righteousness but it’s entitled to think you should be able to steal another groups hard work just because someone is broke. The current uploader did the right thing by stopping.
The middle ground is simply asking before doing it. I still defend a scanlation group’s right to deny it and to ask someone to cease. I’ve been around and I’m the bl community for over 10 years. It’s not “new” it always happens, there’s just a lot of new fans who disregard basic stuff because they just want everything fast

Yeah I get you. I guess complicated is right. I didn’t take notice of this stuff till the CasteHeaven thing.
