yes since the subject is non-exclusive. i would reccomend that you research the idol business of the country your story takes place in to avoid stereotypes and to make things a bit more real

Guys, it’s a really good read but the author doesn’t shy away from exploring really heavy themes. Please read with caution It’s a novel with satisfying emotional payoff, but there’s a lot of uncomfortable scenes before we get there. Please be good and show support to my child, Kim Iwol!

This story can be so sweet and wholesome, but there is also:
Parental neglect and physical abuse, also physical and verbal battery by adults in the industry. An extreme lack of self-esteem and feeling unworthy by our MC and others in the group. MC tends to self-harm via overwork/disregard for his own health. Also he is still deeply grieving his sister but largely disassociating from it instead of processing it. There is also straight up a murder attempt on one of the members.
Wow that is a lot and dark but I love when stories explore themes like this it’s realistic and I love when I see characters overcome trauma especially in idol manwha the only two I’ve seen that are dark are debut or die and monochrome rumor which is a bl do you have any recs that have similar themes like this with idols? It doesn’t have to be just idols
