Like, the plot lines are so good, and I’ve finally forgiven the ML, but now it feels like the artist is rushing the story to finish the manhwa. Like? Invest more time in baiting Rito, invest more time in HOW Degona is helping, invest more time in the Prince and his newfound responsibilities, invest more time in the church’s attempt to place their claws on Eugene for his holy powers?? There’s so many good elements but the story is a whole lot of nothing burger right now.

On February 14, I’m turning 21 OFFICIALLY. I thought I’d be more excited about this whole adult thing, honestly. Honestly though, I just feel kinda meh about it now that it’s happening. Drinking? I’ve done that for a while now, and it feels less fun now that there isn’t a “danger” associated to it. Having my own space or whatnot? I have my own apartment complex that my parents pay for. Besides, in this economy AND political climate, I’d like to stay with my parents for as long as I could, but the option is always there. Schooling won’t even last too long, I’m set on graduating this year if I keep up my academic vigor. Like, I was so excited to turn “legal” or whatever. Is there anything else I can look forward to? I want to enjoy my 20s but I feel like I’ve been doing so many things to prepare for them that I don’t know how to enjoy it. I feel like heading straight to working some corporate job instead of this clandestine lifestyle everyone raves about, like that’s just the routine I’m supposed to follow.

Like, genuinely, this was such a good story UNTIL the author tried forcing the angst with Alexis being mad at Eugene for being a prophet. GENUINELY upset with that forced, unnecessary, incredibly out of character move still. Moving forward, I’ll probably still have some hesitations reading, but eventually, we’ll progress to a point where I’ll forget about this stupid plot line and just consider it a cringe fanfic what-if instead of the canon that it apparently is. I still love the earlier foundation of this story, but there’s no way the author can write a satisfying tie-in for this stupid plot line. That’s FINE. As established, I’ll just repress it. I’m good at that. I just need the author to move on and not linger on this plot line too long.
