So yes, the rape is not over :/ The silver haired ex friend (whose name I can't remember) turns out to be a mutation who can grow tentacles (and I'm sure you can see where this is going). The mutation dude kills all the people, MC grabs a gun but it's yoinked by the mutation before he's grabbed. The mutation reminisces on how he liked the MC before, you guessed it, he starts raping the MC with the tentacles and his own dick. The ML finally comes out of the woods and tries stabbing the mutation in the chest, ripping the MC away. The mutation stops him and throws the ML away again, grabbing the MC and continuing the rape. The ML then grabs the mutation, ripping him away from the MC, but he continues running, pulling him as far from the MC as possible, before running him and the mutation off a cliff. The MC passes out, and when he wakes up, he walks over to the cliff ledge, staring down.
That's the most recent raw chapter, so we don't know if the ML or mutated ex friend is dead (heh) or not or gone for good, which I'm sure it's not the end of the ML. But what a surprise, the ML was willing to sacrifice himself in order to save the MC
Does anyone have any recommendations that are kinda similar to this? I like the trope of one being a tough loner and they kinda save/protect the other one lol
I read the original novel in the hopes that perhaps it would offer a redemptive or meaningful ending, but unfortunately, that was wishful thinking. The story only continues to descend into deeper psychological and physical torment. Eventually, the uke chooses to stay with the seme, not out of love or healing, but due to long-term manipulation and isolation. The seme confines him to a single room and treats him like a pet—literally using pee pads for dogs. The uke, deprived of any meaningful human connection, begins to crave even the seme's abusive touch simply because it's the only form of contact he receives.
He later escapes, only to be gang raped again—this time by people he once considered friends. In a disturbing sequence, the seme recounts the events of their high school history while the uke is being assaulted. To summarize that backstory: the uke and seme attended the same high school, where the uke—along with his friends—raped and humiliated the seme, even distributing videos of the abuse. Eventually, the uke was injured in a fight and lost his memories, which triggered the seme’s elaborate plan for revenge. He intentionally enrolled at the same university to manipulate the uke, despite the latter having no recollection of the past.
After the second assault, the uke is hospitalized with severe injuries, like broken bones, and falls into a coma. During that time, he dreams of their shared past and begins to confront feelings he may have had for the seme—complicated by internalized homophobia. When he wakes up, he panics at the idea of facing further violence and begs the seme to stay with him out of fear. This leads to their continued, toxic entanglement.
The uke begins hallucinating as a result of his trauma and even attempts suicide. The abuse doesn’t end—in fact, the seme resumes degrading him: sending him to school with a vibrator inside him, tying him up in bathroom stalls (mirroring the abuse the seme once suffered), and reasserting control. Eventually, the uke pleads with him not to leave. The story ends with them together, though not in any emotionally healthy or consensual sense of the word.
The novel is undeniably psychological, and how readers interpret it will largely depend on their own values, sensitivities, and understanding of trauma. On one hand, it's true that the uke committed horrific acts as a teenager, and the seme’s desire for revenge is not entirely unfounded. On the other hand, the uke's amnesia removes the possibility of true reckoning, making the seme’s retaliation more like prolonged sadism than actual justice. Even a character within the story tells the seme he’s gone too far.
Both characters are deeply flawed and morally compromised. One could argue that they deserve each other, but that doesn’t erase the sheer discomfort that comes from witnessing the uke's suffering, especially when he becomes a shell of himself, clinging to the very person responsible for breaking him.
As someone who studied both writing and the sociology of rape in college, I find myself grappling with stories like this. It’s disturbing to see a “revenge” arc constructed almost entirely around themes of rape, manipulation, and dehumanization. These are real-life horrors, and while fiction can absolutely explore difficult topics, the way these elements are portrayed matters immensely. This isn’t a romance—it’s the story of a person being methodically dismantled until they believe abuse is love, which is textbook psychological conditioning.
It’s hard not to see stories like this—and others like Sadistic Beauty: BL Story—as glamorizing or fetishizing rape. The storytelling doesn’t challenge the violence; it seems to dwell in it. Of course, many survivors do stay with their abusers, for complicated and tragic reasons. If the author had handled these themes with more nuance or sensitivity, the narrative might’ve stood as a dark but important portrayal of trauma bonding. But instead, the framing often feels like it's catering to a rape fantasy rather than condemning it. That’s what unsettles me the most.
Just finished the novel and wow, I knew I'd be disappointed but wow. I can't believe people actually write stuff like that and that people actually enjoy reading it?? It's basically glorifying domestic violence, rape, torture, and manipulation
I'm really hoping this doesn't end with the MC actually turning into an omega because of the pills the ML has been giving him :/ it'd be nice to have an alpha x beta story once in awhile, especially with how pretty the artsyle is, not to mention it'd make the story even more messed up if he truly does turn into an omega because of the ML manipulating him. But hey, we all know manipulation and red flag tops are normalized in BL, so a girl can only hope for the bare minimum
The part where he shot the old guy but covered the MC's ear cuz the gun was right next to his head was such a cute detail, he made sure to protect him even when spontaneously shooting someone <333
From the raws, it looks like there's a certain smell that reminds the ML of something that makes him go into a non-omegaverse rut lmao. In one of the next chapters, who I assume is the MC's brother visits and he brings some type of lotion or perfume that he pours on his hands, and the ML immediately reacts a certain way but slaps himself out of it because they're in public. The MC takes it with them, it almost looked like some type of oil. But the story has been on hiatus for a couple months now, leaving us on a cliffhanger of a sneak peak of them meeting as kids
There's like 2 more chapters after this one, and might I say it's exactly the type of disappointing ending I expected. The side story uke (can't remember his name) doesn't even make him stop despite him literally bleeding. The side story seme basically continues to have sex with him even after the uke has fallen asleep. He continues despite knowing the uke is late for work in the morning. Then it ends with seme giving the uke a bath before work with some shitty statements for an ending.
I already knew this would have a shitty ending because the side story MC would probably end up with the side story ML who's a massive red flag, but the naive part of me was holding onto the hope that the author would finally wake up and realize they're romanticizing domestic violence, but oh well. Not a day goes by where I'm not disappointed with BL stories that have MC's ending up with abusers lmao
I'm still not sure if I want to commit to this story. The beginning still urks me how he basically kidnaps him and also rapes him. It makes me feel like it's a bit of Stockholm Syndrome, or like the MC is only with the ML because he has nowhere else to go. Idk, with how popular and famous it is, I feel like I need to read it, but the beginning still gives me uncomfy vibes. Like everyone says the ML is a "green flag" now, but is the rape ever acknowledged? Does he ever acknowledge the fact he sorta manipulated the MC into being forced to rely on him? It just seems like the kind of 'ML rapes and kidnaps the MC but the MC has subtle Stockholm Syndrome and everyone forgets what the ML did in the first place.'
These are just my thoughts, and I'm not looking to argue, but could someone please explain why this story might be worth reading? It truthfully just might not be my cup of tea, but I'm curious to see what people have to say. ♡
Does anyone have the raws or know how this ends? I'm anxious to know as to whether or not it's a happy ending lol
It's nice seeing them being lovey dovey again, but I feel like we moved on from the trauma too fast? Like the ML literally raped the MC, whether or not the MC ended up "enjoying" it during the middle of it happening, the ML still technically forced him in the first place. The MC also was showing signs of being afraid of him and having flashbacks to that moment, but I feel like the author kinda avoided the ML taking accountability for what he did. With that being said though, the MC is literally, what, part of the mafia or a mob? So obviously I'm not that surprised by his actions, I just wish the MC was written to show more respect for himself, I mean, he literally found out his crush was basically a murderer and then he raped him unconscious, it'd be expected he would be afraid of the ML and be traumatized for some time. Of course, it's fiction, and they already had heavy feelings for one another, I just wish it was a little more discussed instead of them immediately jumping back into each other's arms. It would've been more realistic if the angst lasted a bit longer ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Honestly? This is my first ever comment in mangago and I'm really hoping it'd be the last. I only comment because I genuinely wish these kind of stories would stop for the sake of the actually good artwork.
Hear me out: this author/creator definitely has a thing or two for rape and violence - you can't convince me otherwise. Sadistic Beauty (Main story, Side A & B) and now this. Splendid artwork only to be wasted on a story that targets no-brainers and fanatics. Why did I say this? Because if THIS does NOT piss you off in the slightest, you definitely have problems or you just genuinely love the creator (you do you, I won't judge).
I really want to like this because the artwork is so my type, but no; This is Sadistic Beauty Side B all over again. Only one thing keeps popping up everytime, "Why?"
If I were to compare, Jinx is better even if not by a lot and that actually says a lot because Jinx is already such a black flag.

Supposedly, the MC returns to the abusive ML at the end, according to people who read the full raws. I'm not even surprised ngl. I had some faith that maybe this would be a good story where the MC gets revenge and escapes his abuser, but then I remembered that rape and Stockholm Syndrome are, unfortunately, a huge kink/common theme in the BL community. It's just like the story Sadistic Beauty BL Sidestory, what a disappointment. I don't even want to read anymore knowing that the MC goes back to being with the man who kidnapped and raped him. :/
Apparently they end up together because the jerkoff dudes' car crash brings them together :// live laugh love toxic, abusive relationships in bl stories, amiright

They meet up on the rooftop the next day (accidently, they run into each other while the ml is up there smoking) at school and talk things out and then they make out lol. There's then a flashback to when they first meet (I think)
It is cruel of me to wish that the mc would almost succeed with a suicide attempt just for the douchebag to feel some sort of empathy towards him, ik he probably wouldn't care but part of me wishes that if the mc was that close to death, mr asshole would start to think differently (I know he knows that the mc wants to die, but idk maybe seeing it face to face would change something?). Cuz in this case, he's already had a terrible life, death feels like the best escape :((
This author literally wrote Sadistic Beauty (the bl version) by making the uke inspired by her ex so that she could torture him in her twisted fantasies and make him suffer eternally. She clearly has mental issues and needs to get help O_o
