I know everyone is talking about how we all have short attention spans for smut and can't handle slow burns, but so far I see no slow burn at all. Where are the characters? And what even is this plot? It's so convoluted and somehow both predictable and nonsensical at the same time. Stop saying we're only here for smut when this story isn't even good, I'm dropping it since this isn't even interesting enough to be worth it
i read the novel and the story is good, but unfortunately, i agree that the webcomic fell short of delivery for the action here. they really dragged out the pacing so i don’t blame comic readers for being confused or losing interest.
in the novel, yuder’s journey into the forest and his fight were very well written!! and most importantly, it was interesting lol
it’s a little sad to see the comic not do it justice

Currently the head is the duke who harbors ill intentions against the current king (ml). Using black substance to secretly poison the ml since his infancy as well as his mother who became the awful mother she is partly due to the substance. The black substance was the poison used to kill Abel (mc) in his first life. Currently the ml is trying to plot revenge killing a member would arise suspicion.
