I finally caught up with the whole story and honestly, what I really like about it is how realistically it reflects real-life situations. You can’t help but feel frustrated with Diana. She had everything, from a higher status to a partner who was willing to fix things with her, yet she threw it all away. As readers, we saw every detail of what happened, so of course it feels foolish. But if this were real life, I think a lot of people might have made the same mistakes. Humans are way more naïve than we think, and no one always makes the “right” choices. Still, Diana definitely deserved the consequences—she had so many chances to change but her greed got the best of her. It’s a bit ironic, don’t you think?
As for Helios, I honestly feel bad for him. Compared to most stories, this imperial family is probably the kindest I’ve come across. He tried so many times to make up for what he did to Caelus and Hess and that he actually redeemed himself by standing firm against Diana. He could have defended her like many characters do in similar stories, but he didn’t. He chose to be fair. Really, how often do you find someone who loves you so much they’re willing to start over despite all the mistakes? I just hope the future empress will be a woman with strong values and good character.
Now, the most important thing.. I NEED TO SEE HESS PREGNANT AND GIVING BIRTH. Hello?? I need Caelus fussing over her, being worried and protective. I need more intimacy between the two of them . I’m torn cause beggars can’t be choosers but at least we did get to see them with their children. Still, don’t you think we deserve more of them being all lovey-dovey before kids
I’ve never really gotten into yaoi manhwas before since a lot of them tend to include toxic traits or normalize unhealthy relationships. I get that it’s just a story and doesn’t have to reflect real life, but it still puts me off and sometimes feels too complicated. Because of that, I usually just skim through…. and focus on the explicit scenes LMAO. But this manhwa feels different—it’s actually refreshing and feels like the perfect starting point for beginners who want to dive deeper into yaoi.
With that being said, i am gonna marinate this longer (▰˘◡˘▰)
Omfg i even re-read the story and i still couldn’t capture from whose parent is cyril lmao i guess i need to go back from the very start.. also what happened to Robert’s and Sauvure’s partners, i kind of wanting to know how their story will unfold though
based on timeline, i think cyril is the son of crown prince albert, the son of the first prince who wore glasses (idk if u remember) and castillan princess navara (who came to sevrang with the handsome tanned bodyguard). if u remember the jousting tournament where zachary gave bianca a golden rose bc he won the tournament, that’s the tournament held in celebration of cyril parents’ engagement
Okay we all know what will happen to Penelope and Callisto but what about Yvonne? How will she meets her end? Also is there link to raw version cause for some reason, I vaguely recall the moment when Duke looked into a tea cup when he was with Yvonne.. where have i seen that before..
What if it's actually her own self that she has to save? Maybe she herself will be on the brink of death. And she'll have to choose which one to save. Either the Penelope in this fantasy world or the real her in the outside world. So she'll either choose to remain in the world with Callisto or go back to her old family on the basis of her choice.
