YOU'RE TOTALLY RIGHT! I couldn't recognize it at all cause of the name being in Japanese and the art style being completely different as well. Who woulda guessed.
I think this is same story with just different format since they have the same author.. The original is in black & white manga and turn into colored long form digital version for modern audience who prefer that format. Thanks for posting it as reference (●'◡'●)ﾉ
