I get it, I usually love those tropes. But realistically, that’s the exact person you’d rather keep in your life for as long as possible and there’s more of a guarantee if it’s platonically. The chances of the relationship going to shit once they breakup is so high that even I would do the exact same thing. Like what MC said, w Gido, there’s something precious that’ll get lost if things don’t work out. With his boss however, they were nothing before they got together, so there’s nothing to lose by picking him.

Yess exactly, sometimes it works out but sometimes a romantic layer to your relationship isn't worth risking losing someone like family, MAYBE if they hadn't taken the chance when they were young but now that their friendship is solid and they're older and mature and have courage to voice exactly what they think and not go off shyness and assumptions, if they're not malicious and cheat or SMTH they could still go back to solid friendship after a failed relationship but eh, at this point theyve both gotten over the romantic feeling at least right now
For the first time in my life I have 2nd ml syndrome. Main ML is great and all but the chemistry betweenc and gido *sigh
