I really like camus with vikir more than ayen bc even when vikir and ayen had more time together it started with ayen forcing him to her slave and shit and bc she thinks he belongs to her she want him to become her husband too which is all wrong to me tbh like she branded him as her property like some object she wants to own when she asked vikir to keep wearing his slave collar when he went back to the city and i know vikir kept it bc he want a reminder of his past self not really ayen but come on but with camus they met when they were kids camus was so full of herself back then and vikir humbled her showing her that there's more to life than being a princess from a strong family it impacted her so much that she started to change herself and be a better person she also started admiring vikir then and developed feelings for him they may not have that deep connection that u all were looking for but for camus vikir was everything thats why when she thought he died while saving her, her world shattered into pieces bc for her someone as incredible as vikir lost his life for her so she wanted to bring him back even if it cost her life that same way vikir did to save her ik y'all hate the romance but the message was way deeper than what was shown in the previous chapters.
