So perplexing how rape is such a common theme in yaoi. I hate that rape is so normalized in yaoi that we have hoards of young women shrugging it off while reading (including myself). Is it ok for us to read this shit because we women aren’t typically rapists? Does reading stuff like this make us less sympathetic to male rape victims? Totally open to civil discussion.
