Jus reread the first chapters, they already know about the chip. They couldn’t remove it because there was a lot of brain tissue connected to it but also, there wasn’t any immune reaction… so I’m guessing baruda is safe.
yeah that happens fairly often, as long as you body's not rejecting the foreign object, if they can do harm by mooving it (for exemple if it's in your brain/cranium or near the spine) , they'll leave it in. although sometimes over the year it moves and can injure you (for exemple it migrates to your spine, paralyzing you)
