This was one of those reads that I just had to see through until the end even though I wanted to drop it at so many points. It does have a happy ending, but ngl the happy ending does not make up for all the stupid, poor decisions and suffering that happens in the middle. Omw to read something fluffy where the main characters are actually allowed to be happy

I don’t understand why the author added that r*pe scene if it was just going to be essentially glossed over. Like the MC got ptsd because of the ML, yet the ML is the only one he feels comfortable letting him touch him? it makes no sense, what was the reason ╥﹏╥ really hoping for a genuine apology and conversation at some point because I do like them together besides that

Its definitely not glossed over. ML just doesn't know he gave MC trauma... Yet. Plus his goal was for MC to never look for or contact him again anyway. Like i feel people are forgetting he raped him to make him hate him and to protect him from getting in danger by associating with him...
Anyway, as to why MC is okay with his touch or whatever - I was confused for a while too but the latest chapters actually cleared that up a bit. He didnt get trauma from the r*pe, he explicitly showed that his trauma came from the look ML had in his eyes when he saw him torturing that guy in the basement. And he mentioned already that ML unlocked the trauma but its been building up for ages because of the loan sharks that were after him.
All in all, his trauma is complex and it actually makes sense that ML touching him doesn't affect him, seeing as he has feelings for him. Of course they definitely NEED to talk about this and for ML to apologise. It will be very healing for both of them, i reckon. After all, ML does care a lot but he hasn't showed it properly almost ever so...
If MC did not get trauma from the rape then that in itself glosses over the rape, doesn’t it?
It downplays the severity and horrifying experience that it is to get raped and for it to be used as a “I’m doing this to protect you” factor is so fucking stupid. Especially knowing damn well ML goes right back to associating with him and sleeping with him after, so it was useless anyway.
The rape has not even begun to be fully addressed, and im unsure if it ever will be in the future, but so far it was definitely glossed over.
I know MC won’t end up with Haewon but pls let them fuck at least once he’s so fine
