I always find it weird when a story is well written and you can follow the characters decisions and then people get mad the FL didn't choose a dude cause they think he deserved her.
Like???? Does a woman owe a man something, just cause he loves her and looks decent? Is giving this whole "friend-zone" bullshit, which doesn't exist as it's just a woman who as having a platonic relationship with a man who one sidedly was hoping that after he makes her his friend (or maybe he gets the idea somewhere down the line of being a true friend) that he wants her as a woman now and everyone hating on her cause she says no. "He was such a good friend though!" like what?
Anyway I am glad Joseph is not ML, but someone she actually has no ties to, who didn't see her grow up and fall for her when she was still a minor and waited until she is of age to ask her out (creepy af) and is also someone who can help her maintain her current lifestyle and personality. Cause how should she do that with Joseph?
He was her subordinate. How should she be in a relationship with him? And be able to be her true upper high class sheltered af rich af noble self? On that note, it was very telling the difference in how both treated and acted around her. Like Joseph obviously always acts like she is on an insanely high modest he is looking at from down below, while Erez treated her like an equal and wasn't afraid like everyone else. Didn't misunderstand her face or anything and just took her as she is. Sure he was kinda rude for being informal, but like he was his authentic self with her. Who really is authentic Joseph? We never saw much, as he was always the respectful subordinate loyal knight who blushes around her.
and the art and premise. But I hate the men in this story. All of them are weird af. Ricardo is a self-centred bastard so is the prince. but at least the prince wasn't all like trashy to Bianca as much as Ricardo was. like what the fuck man. I hate these men in the story. I wish Bianca would like inherit her family's name and just become a marchioness and enjoy life all free from these fucked up trash men.

while reading, I thought something is wrong with me. I was wondering, if I was to mentally exhausted and that is why I was struggling to understand what I was reading.
I read again and again at some point because I started to get more and more lost. Then I realised it's not me. The translations just got horrid at some point. AM art Chapter 17 now. Not sure if they get better again later, but what the heck haha.
Please be prepared for horrible translations down the line, so you don't end up doubting your own brain like me.

I mean he did say " I am not a Newbie" all the time. Maybe he wanted just friendship? Maybe get to know MC more? Maybe there is something even deeper there? Who knows. Obviously it will one way or another develop into him being in love (maybe he is already???) and the MC falling and them coming together. Oh well haha...that's what I think so far while reading.
