We know how the story ends, just enjoy the journey and try to understand the characters, and stop bashing someone's hardwork. He is definitely not the worst character to have been created for writing. Please stop trying to look for an accurate depiction of a real person in a fictional character. And I know there are stories that take things too far and you question wtf did i just read, but this hasn't reached that. Yes he's an asshole, i agree with that, but wait and see why he is the way he is and then you can judge whether or not he can be redeemed instead deeming him unworthy of a redemption, or a loss cause.
