A group she's in ends up holding a guy with red scruffy hair hostage for a bit and she takes care of him, they get close, he can't know what she looks like bc he's blindfolded but he promises when he gets out that he'll come back for her (I think). He leaves something with her, time passes, she decides to set out to give it back to him and he ends up being a prince? King? Can't remember. I read it a while ago and can't remember the name of it. It's a bit dark in some aspects but it was good I think.
