first of all, i don’t usually comment but i’ve read the disputes in the comments saying how the mc was a pushover and thought the commenter’s clapbacks were hilarious. however after finishing the story, i completely disagree. i don’t know if they also finished reading bc it would be such a shame to miss the mc’s character development. to say the mc is bad written just bc he was a ‘pushover’ at the start means lack of character comprehension. i was skeptical of pushover mcs too bc honestly they’re too frustrating to read. but i trusted the author. the mc may have some struggles at first and was easily taken advantage of, however his trauma was unfolded in the story giving us a background as to why he’s like that. how a person responds to trauma is different for everyone. it’s not always a fight or flight. but berating and shaming them for not immediately being able to overcome it is so insensitive and yea, tone deaf. what i like the most is mc’s character is not written to be stagnant, and it’s so beautiful to read him blossoming after taking a big step and finally standing up for himself. i personally shared his fears of resigning bc i may not be good enough to be hired by anyone else. it took a lot of courage for me to leave. the only difference is that i dont have a hot blond man that is whipped for me and fucks me good after work T_T god i hate being a corporate slave. i didn’t expect i’d love this sm!
