Art is so gorgeous I forced myself to finish the chapters, but man this is written so poorly. The whole thing w the fiancee is that she can't know he's blind, it's a huge deal for 10 chapters, but 15 chapters later without previous mention, she just casually goes "well you can't see but you can still dance"... So she knew abt it?? Also, she was the only interesting character and they surgically removed her from the story? What was all that for then???
Then there's the whole Lucas romance which was so forced--they met one chapter and the next he fell for her. How is that even possible?
There's a whole theme about her being so insecure about her face, but the reason why is never the same. She was bullied, sure, but one time it's bc shes inferior to her sister. Another time it's because beauty is all that matters in this world. Next time it's she can't face her dead siblings. None of these reasons line up or mix well, and they're never explained simultaneously. Always one after the other, so there's no coherent solid reason why she's so insecure.
What the hell is even the point of this storyline?? The master or whatever is recovered in spirit and in body (slowly at first then seemingly overnight), so there's no antagonistic force driving development between the characters anymore. Now they're just lovey dovey and nothing else happens. He said she had to leave, but she's still serving that guy normally.
Don't even get my started on how they keep trying to force the dynamic that the FL and ML have parallel lives/pain. The FL literally watched her family members die and was starved and beaten, while the ML was blinded so he's forced to live in a huge mansion with his many loyal friends and professional caretakers who follow his every whim. He's had every resource to bounce back but he doesn't. Man doesn't even try to walk by himself and when he does it's a huge deal. Sh-t is so insulting to actual blind ppl
