I won‘t ever understand how the author went from such peak to…. jinx.
I‘m not even gonna focus on all the rape, but rather how repetitive Jinx is! Barely any progress, no character developement, vicious cycle (grandma > money > etc.) and so on.
Jinx doesn‘t cover any relatable topics as there are in BJ Alex (especially homophobia). I know Jinxs plot is certainly different than BJ Alexs, but nonetheless does BJ Alex perform better than Jinx in terms of plot overall. It‘s much more complex and it balances out the smut.

Something that‘s been bothering me is, that I have barely any idea what exactly the ML is thinking and how his character is shaped.
I forgot all their names by now, so I‘ll adress them by MC (redhead) and ML (his love interest/bf)
The artstyle is pretty and the story has a lot of potential, but you can tell that the characters don‘t have (so far) that much of a formed personality. The ML still feels like a stranger to me and it feels like as if the MC has no idea what his bf is like. We‘re already 55 chapters in.
It‘s driving me nuts, that the story itself has barely and flesh to the bone; it‘s not as juicy. It feels like as if its not that throughoutly thought of.
I have nothing against super calm and collected characters, but the ML feels TOO dry, to the point where I‘m wondering what the MC actually sees in him.
The author should invest into more conversations. Be it during sex, normal daily activities, etc. It all seems a tad too awkward tbh.
I‘ve read „Safety First“ too and (if I remember it correctly) the characters seemed more familiar while the story developed.
I‘m not sure how many chapters this story will have, but I‘m praying that it won’t go on like this. It‘s be a shame tbh.
Now don‘t come at me with „why are you reading it“: I‘m just dropping off some thoughts I‘ve been carrying along while reading the story.
I like slowburns a lot but that was lowkey an overkill. Building up crazy tension in chapter 9 to have quite the let down in chapter 10. Not even internal dialogue or self reflection was present.
the author so freaked out they edging us
No it wasn't.. It is actually very logical. Incheol is a straight man and hasn't had any sexual experience with a man and was also clearly disgusted with the top machoist tendencies, there's nothing empty about the chapter
facts!
Never said they should‘ve fucked or gone further, of that‘s what you mean. The chapter in general felt empty in terms of their relationship. No in depth monologues (or similar) that I would‘ve expected, especially after that cliffhanger from the previous chapter.
The politics is connected to incheol's and that's literally the reason why he's pushed to a corner and we got to know that the rep are manipulating and lying to him. Read!!!
