Maybe it's because we were shown the 'future' in the beginning, but the story feels so slow. We're playing catch-up to a scene from a year ago (anyone even remember the AC at this point?) and even though I like the story, the pacing feels off XD Such a shame, I really hope for some progression soon.

This is actually a really interesting and necessary chap. Nagi originally joined Blue Lock because Reo was there, it was always about being the best together. I think Nagi playing on the opposite side, showing the side Blue Lock neglects which is teamwork to an extent is actually a really good spot to place him. Igaguri is right that since the start Ego has not been a Nagi fan after all. Since he's the secondary protag after Isagi, it's probably best to give him his own space so Isagi can also shine, you know? A bit like Kunigami, he's going a different route but still in the game!
