ok so i went back to the earlier chapters and have some new theories…
NPC, the suit from the center, said A was responsible for the development of the HLP (human livestock project). A was also always super mopey and regretful in all his interactions with the people on the farm. he kept saying “ill take full responsibility for the consequences” and created a space on his farm where all the rejects who were supposed to be “disposed of” (whatever the fuck that means… yikes) could live without having to work. milton describes himself as having “caught the beast virus”, too. and we already know A and fluffy were boinkin cuz of what kendrick told little A. AND we know that little A discovered something really REALLY bad or problematic (in his traumatized childs mind) and was sent home from the farm with his parents a long time ago.
