I'm not really liking this sequel. Original FY was good and I freaking loved Takiko and Genbu kaiden... but I'm not feeling this one. First because all the unnecessary sad deaths, then the frequent fanservice of Neiran's nudity (fanservice for who in the first place, since this is a shojo?!), the so-called fiancé forcing Suzuno's boundaries, children marriage, polygamy, the child-falling-in-love-with-an-adult repetition... etc.
I mean, I understand that some things are cultural or historical (like the harem stuff), but it's just too many things putting me off. I cried at the Takiko's part, but Uruki didn't even look in his middle thirties. He looked as young as ever. And Sairoh seems to be in a mess when the lore had been that Suzuno had arrived in a time of peace??? Takiko saved Hokkan from a natural disaster, but this is just humans making cra*py politics.
