Ppl love talking about ‘oh you can’t handle complex characters’, ‘he’s hurting’ blah blah but I can assure you that the #1 advice you will get if you’re in love with someone who is unstable is to distance yourself the minute you are unsafe. If they are a threat to you it literally does not matter what they have been through.
Fact is this guy is a whole grown adult who can’t admit he has issues and thinks the whole world is out to get him. Don’t care about those who are talking about why I’m still reading cause we all know YOU are only here for sex scenes and hot seme. I dropped this before but came because I was waiting for the chapter where he admits his wrongdoing to at least ONE fucked up thing he has done. But all he’s doing is making shit a lot worse especially so since we can clearly see what’s going on inside his mind. Like calling doc defective? Is you serious? And ppl are still vouching for them to get together??
This is why ppl always separate BL and yaoi. Because of certain fans who are porn addicts all they care about is just that, porn, and not what normalizing these toxic behaviors could potentially mean for others. Dont bother with the whole ‘it’s just fiction’ thing either because anime as a whole with cosplayers, conventions, fandoms is a great representation on how influential fiction can be.
Next, him getting a redemption arc does not automatically make him worthy of being in a relationship with Dan especially so since he’s just using him and will continue to use him to further improve and better himself. This is the whole ‘wife prays and waits for her husband to stop cheating on her so that they eventually live happily ever after.’
