Why is their backstory always that a high school relationship went sour so they decided to carry that hurt into every other relationship from then on? It’s obnoxious in real life and it’s annoying in a story
The art style was what kept me reading because the lack of communication drove me crazy. I get they’re teenagers, but you can’t be surprised someone won’t go with the flow when you kiss them without saying you like them.
I hated how everyone around the MC refused to communicate and he was portrayed as the bad guy for not being able to read their minds. First his lowlife gf and scumbag friend have an affair rather than tell him he needs to be a better bf, then Atsushi refuses to open up until it’s to make the MC feel bad. I get that they’re all young but it was irritating to see him feel bad for being human.
Another romantic rival?? We just moved past Subaru!! They’ve both already had to save the other from being raped! There is enough going on without some extra trying to butt in.
Give us the confrontation with Megumi’s dad. Give us them graduating and finally becoming mates. Give us more of Tsugumi being a caring older brother to Suzume, and of Megumi starting to join in. Hell, give Subaru a redemption moment where he protects Tsugumi and grudgingly accepts their relationship!
